We chose this place because of the distance of Paris and the rather fair price of the stay. Pornichet is not the hottest place to be in the summer, but it's a nice place. The residence itself is very well located, a couple of blocks from downtown and just in front of the main beach. We got a studio for 4, on the building B, behind the main building that we see at the photos. Thus, no view of the sea. The building was brand new. The room was clean, appliances worked perfectly. However, there were missing some pot lids, not a big deal though... Bathroom was very clean too. The only negative point was the balcony, which was impossible to be used due to the dust (tables and chairs were extremely dirty and had not seen a good cleaning in a while). Thus we could barely go to the balcony, we could not eat outside. The room had a convertible sofa bed, which was rather big, but had no comfort at all. Mattress was awful, too thin. Pillows were very thin and uncomfortable too. Thus, quality of sleep was very very bad.I came back home with heavy back pains and bad slept nights. The residence pool was heated and very clean. A very pleasant place for kids. However, it closed too early, at 7pm. At summer, when you are at the beach and you come back at 7pm with a beautiful sun, all you want is to chill out a bit by the pool. Unfortunately, it was not possible. Internet access was not very good, painfully slow. It might not mean a lot, but when you rely on it to look for restaurants, plan a tour or talk to family, it is not funny at all. They had underground garages, which was very practical to park (there were no places available at all on the streets) for 40€ per week (not so cheap...). The main issue here was in fact the security: the gates were always opened, no access control at all, no surveillance. From the garages we had direct access to rooms, easily... Service was ok and nice. I am not sure I would recommend this place. It is just average, for an average price, like many others around.
