Lovely clean room. Comfortable bed although single a little narrow. Food very nice good choices and plentiful. There is a choice of main evening meal, also a buffet of starters which is almost a meal on its own. Afterwards there is a buffet of desserts which if you are naughty like me you can take two. Staff all spoke perfect English. Has a friendly bar for an evening catch up. Pretty garden

This hotel is very good, tram stop close by to get into the centre of Caen. The staff were excellent really helpful. This hotel is very good, tram stop close by to get into the centre of Caen. The staff were excellent really helpful. The rooms a small but you are only sleeping in there, the breakfast is continental with scrambled eggs and bacon plenty of food the evening meal was a set menu but you can order either one course two or three. The area is quiet at the weekends don’t know what’s it’s like during the week. There is an American style grill round the corner never went so can’t comment.

We enjoyed a 4 night stay here during a D DAY Battlefield Tour with Leger Holidays. We had a couple of negatives, but this didn't really detract from our overall experience. We would agree with other travellers that the rooms are small which in turn restricts the storage space. Perhaps higher beds could be put in so at least you could put your cases/bags underneath? The evening meals could have been enhanced with a variation of veg as it was Green Beans EVERY night, this aside the food was very good with fabulous mashed potatoes. Overall the Carline is a great place for a short break. Spotlessly clean in ALL areas with a comfortable, friendly well stocked & affordable bar(UK take note). A bright & airy restaurant & most of all, FABULOUSLY FRIENDLY & HELPUL STAFF. Thankyou for a GREAT STAY!!

Overall, this hotel was okay. Generally pleasant stay. This was part of Leger Tours arrangemnt. The staff was very nice and helpful! The rooms felt very small and cramped, but we weren't spending all that much time in the rooms outside of sleeping. The breakfast spread was decent, even for semi-picky eater like me. My dad had fun figuring out the coffee machine. Hehe. I think he ended up with a double espresso! haha! :) Helpful for those early mornings! I had also gotten the dinner package. Dinner was okay, edible. I only did the one night and tried the Buffalo Grill next door the second night. So if ou get the package, dinner isn't too bad. I think prepay is less expensive, if you want to save a few Euros.
