Fantastic location, quiet room, and wonderful staff We had a brilliant stay at Ammi Nice Masséna. The location is excellent: less than 10 minutes’ walk to the beach, close to the tram, and very easy to get to and from the airport. It’s on a lively, vibrant street, but we had no problem with noise at all. The balcony was small, but still big enough to sit out on, which was lovely. The air conditioning was absolutely brilliant and genuinely a life saver during the heatwave. The kitchen area was compact but very well equipped, though worth noting there is no dishwasher. The staff were also fantastic: extremely friendly, very responsive, and spoke perfect English, which made everything very easy. Overall, a great base for a stay in Nice. We’d happily recommend it.

The location is excellent, in heart of the city, right on a restaurant street. If your room is towards the street, you may hear some noise in the evening, but there is no traffic noise because cars are not allowed. Overall, the soundproofing was quite good, although I personally always sleep with earplugs. Masenna Square is practically a one-minute walk away, with a large department store, several grocery shops, and restaurants. The beach is less than a 10-minute walk. My room was a junior suite on the top floor with a balcony. The room was very spacious, and the balcony was comfortable, with lounge chairs, a table, and regular chairs. Since it was a corner unit, you could even see a bit of Masenna Square from the balcony. The room had excellent air conditioning that you can control yourself and fast Wifi. There was a nice kitchenette with everything you need, including a microwave and an espresso machine. The shower was spacious and separate from the toilet, and there was plenty of storage space. The room was also very clean. The website mentioned that these junior suites were renovated, and it certainly looked that way. It is worth noting that the building is old. The elevator only stops halfway between floors, so you always need to use some stairs, and the reception is on the third floor. The building has an elevator, but it is very small, very slow, and extremely hot. A nice touch at reception was that you could freely refill water from a water dispenser, both for your own bottle and for the room’s water jug. There was also iced coffee at reception. The breakfast is simple but sufficient. There are no hot breakfast items, but everything else is available, which is enough for a good start to the day. The coffee from the machine is very good, and you can get specialty coffees as well. There are also pastries, bread, fruit, yogurt, and muesli. The breakfast room is very small and fits about ten people at a time, which is why the reception asks you to estimate your arrival time for breakfast, although in my case this was only asked on the first morning. The service was very friendly and attentive. Even a small issue we had was handled professionally, with apologies, and they even offered a small compensation. Reception is easily available trough Whatsapp (reseption open from 8am to 8pm). Overall, I can strongly recommend this aparthotel, especially because of the location and the quality of the room. One more thing worth mentioning about the room: the bed had several different pillows. They were the same size, but some were softer and some firmer, which is not always the case in hotels. Usually, pillows may vary in size but feel the same. Here, you could choose what suited you. There were also blackout curtains, which helped ensure a good night’s sleep. The mattress might feel a bit firm for some people, but I personally liked it. Also note that, in the Southern European style, the bed has only a sheet as a cover, and if you want more warmth, there is a blanket in the closet to use together with the sheet.
