“Lovely peaceful spot”

What a great hotel ! We spent 3 nights here and it was lovely. Very relaxed, great breakfast and a lovely pool. You can use the facilities at the sister Miramar hotel but we only nipped down the private road to use the gym as this hotel was lovely and quiet. We had a walk down the hill to the little port for lunch at a beach club and ate in the michelin restaurant one evening which was great. There isn’t a bar in this hotel but we went into port rague for dinner which was a short taxi ride away. Great stay if you want a peaceful break.

Beautiful hotel with stunning views. Very small but customer service was excellent from the moment we arrived. We really wanted to eat in the Michelin restaurant but we decided not to because there is not a menu to choose from. What you eat all depends on what the chef creates that day. The setting of the restaurant is beautiful and I feel we missed out but there are several foods which I cannot eat and at such a high price I felt we needed to at least have a choice of one of the courses. Instead we ate in the sister hotel which we felt was nice, but average. This beautiful hotel has a wonderful setting and it was lovely to sit by a peaceful pool with the stunning view. The water in the pool was a perfect temperature and the pool guys were so good, delivering (very expensive) refreshing drinks when needed. France was having a heatwave while we were there! A bottle of Evian to share with my husband cost 10 euros plus a tip etc which I felt was expensive but much needed. Breakfast was very pleasant with lovely service and a great choice of food. We had a junior suite which we thought was really lovely and it had an excellent top quality bathroom. The balcony for the room was tiny but big enough for a small bistro table and 2 chairs so it was nice to have a drink on the balcony while watching the sun go down. The location was ok but it’s certainly not walkable down the hills to theolw sur mer. We went there for dinner one night but trying to get a taxi or uber back ruined the evening. The hotel offers a very good shuttle service to their sister hotel. Next to the sister hotel is a little port with a few bars and a lovely beach restaurant with tables on the beach. There was a small Sunday market there where we bought fresh fruit for lunchtime. There is no bar in the hotel which is something we missed but we went to a shop in town and bought wine to keep in the fridge in our suite. The taxi to the airport from the hotel cost us 140 euros which took us by surprise as the distance is not very far. We very much enjoyed our stay at the tiara yaksta and hope to return.

“Incredible stay”

My partner surprised me with a night in a junior suite to propose to me. Behind the scenes she had organised with the hotel to have real rose petals in the bedroom and a lovely bunch of flowers waiting for me. On arrival we were greeted by two lovely receptionist who gave us a welcome drink and we sat out on the balcony until our room was ready. During this time we were offered more drink, water, sweets etc. We were shown to our room which is where the proposal happened. The view is incredible from the junior suite. We booked our food for the evening down at the restaurant in the sister hotel in which they will drive you to and from. Or you can walk if you wanted which is only about 10 minutes. The restaurant is incredible and watching the moon come up is perfect. Service great. The only negative if I had one is having a more creative veggie/ vegan option other than pasta for the main. The starter salad tasted amazing. Breakfast in the morning is back at the main hotel, with so much option and super fresh food. The waitress helped us and got us any food from the kitchen we wanted. I cannot wait to visit again.

We stayed before IHG fully took over the hotel but after it had left the Relais & Chateaux network so it was a bit of an interesting transition. I hope IHG doesn't ruin what makes Yaktsa special but instead improves on some of the items that are not currently offered, like food options that are not the tasting menu Michelin starred restaurant. The location is fantastic, especially if you really want to explore the whole Riviera coastline. Front desk staff sometimes struggled a little bit but the breakfast staff was incredible. Our room was made perfect by an outstanding balcony with outrageous views and a very comfy bed. Housekeeping was really on top of everything, too. Overall, this was a nearly perfect stay with the only downsides being lack of food options and a priority on restaurant buyouts rather than hotel guests.
