“Five star holiday”

This was a very last minute booking, and didn’t have time to research, I would rate this hotel a good three star, but don’t be put off by that as we normally opt for three star and was competitively priced in that area. We stayed in the ground floor base room, easy access for most ability’s. It was clean and comfortable, air conditioning was included in the price as was the safe, these are chargeable extras at many hotels, shower gel, soap, water tea coffee are there as a welcome pack and in the basic rooms are not replenished, there is a supermarket literally a five minute walk away so that didn’t really matter, there was a fridge in the room, an ironing board, but the iron had to be borrowed from reception which again wasn’t a problem, Towels and bedding are changed every three days, but rooms are cleaned daily. The pool and sunbathing area are fantastic plenty of comfortable sun beds and umbrellas, the pool and snack bar were first class and competitively priced alongside most others and nicely set out, all in all a nice place to be with a happy vibe, just to pick up on a couple of points from other reviewer’s experiences, I would describe myself has having a mild disability and I saw others far more less abled than myself encounter minor inconveniences at most, the walk to the beach and restaurants is about 700metres downhill going uphill back, it’s not a steep hill but does drag on a bit, going down was a breeze coming back I just picked my resting points, for mild to moderate disability it’s certainly doable and worth the effort, there are some really good restaurants and some not quite so good, but you soon work it out. The sea is lovely and refreshing with sun beds and umbrellas 15 euro or free if you eat lunch at Their restaurant. so all in all that’s why I rated this hotel and resort a five, the only niggle not really a moan is breakfast could be a little better selection for example a bit more fresh fruit, the only downside to our whole experience was we were caught up in the wild fires on the last night, authorities sent out to all mobiles messages of instructions, the hotel (Alex) handled the whole incident professionally and expediently eventually having to muster on the beach, once everyone had vacated the hotel he came to the beach with further information and together with TUI we were given shelter in another hotel in their lobby and car park given water and as much assistance as possible to wait for the fire to burn out until daylight when airplanes and helicopters could water bomb the area which was quite vast, TUI assured us busses were on standby should a wholesale evacuation be necessary but official instructions were to sit tight, anyway with the wind changing direction and daylight coming the aircraft started water bombing and although still burning was we were told under control and about 07:00 am were allowed back to our hotel, apparently one of a few with back up generators supplying basic electrical equipment we showered, changed and had some breakfast and awaited our bus to the airport ready for our journey home, the Greeks took it all in their stride, just another day at the office 😎

“Relaxed in Kefolonia”

We booked this as a last-minute getaway, and it exceeded our expectations. The resort had everything we were looking for for a relaxing break. The location is excellent, with a supermarket at the end of the road and a lovely 15-minute walk down to Katelios Beach. Along the way, there are plenty of bars, shops and restaurants to choose from. The route is mostly paved and well lit, making it a pleasant and safe walk back in the evening. The atmosphere around the resort is peaceful and laid-back, perfect if you’re looking to unwind. Breakfast was fresh and enjoyable, and snacks and drinks are available from 11am. Happy hour runs from 6:30pm to 8:30pm, which is a great way to start the evening before heading out for dinner. There are lots of fantastic restaurants nearby, but if you’re looking for a special meal, we highly recommend Saint Peter’s Restaurant. That said, everywhere we ate was of a high standard. Our room was spotlessly clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. Tea and coffee are only provided on arrival, but we picked up a small jar of Nescafé for €2.50 from the local supermarket, which wasn’t a problem. The room fridge was perfect for keeping water and drinks chilled, and we bought a couple of ice cube bags too—just remember to turn the fridge up if you want them to freeze properly! It was lovely sitting on the balcony each evening with a cold drink. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return. We’d happily recommend this resort to anyone looking for a peaceful holiday in a great location.

Lovely hotel adults only, quiet location staff fantastic. Pool lovely and clean never many guests in at the same time. Bar area nice with well stocked drinks happy hour every day for 2 hours. Breakfast good to start your day. Rooms nice and clean with air conditioning. Management absolutely fantastic had a couple of issues beyond there control but sorted straight away. Will definitely go back in the future. A 10 minute walk takes you to the tavernas most on the seafront delicious food. Magnolia does a lovely lunch menu which we tried very nice.
