This is a small hotel with a friendly atmosphere and great home cooked Greek food. The staff are friendly and cheerful. When there was a problem with the pool and it had to be drained they worked tirelessly to get it up and running again within 24 hours, including bringing tanker after tanker of water to fill it up. It's close to a pretty little beach, if you like an unspoiled experience, or there are larger beaches with sun loungers etc a short walk further away. It's on a bus route into Corfu Town or a larger resort up the coast. The rooms aren't massive, but they are clean and we slept very well. It was quiet at night and we weren't disturbed at all. I thought it was good value for money. Don't come expecting a big 5 star all inclusive resort. It's small and friendly but the food is absolutely delicious. We were there for a week and the Greek food was different every night and every lunch time. If you want burgers and pizza this isn't the place for you but if you love Greek food this hotel will delight you.

“Lovely relaxing break”

We really loved the hotel - it’s a small family run hotel with 50 rooms and the resort of Dassia is quiet and peaceful. All the staff were so lovely and worked so hard and were really pleasant. The room was spotless and a fair size - the bathroom wasn’t too big but adequate for our needs and enough wardrobe space. People have mentioned the food - obviously you aren’t going to get massive choices in a small hotel but there were always something we liked. There were traditional Greek dishes and pasta and the soup choices were tasty. The barbecue nights were great too. The pool was cleaned every morning with a robot cleaner! The grounds were immaculate and the man in charge worked really hard to look after them and the little family of cats who lived there. Although the hotel was near the road it was very quiet. We had a late flight and as our room was available we were able to keep our room til 8pm for 40 euros- well worth it! We got the bus to Ipsos beach 2 euros and about 15 minutes well worth it we had a lovely day and lunch out. Thank you so much Amalia for a lovely relaxing break 😁

“First holiday as a couple”

We stayed at Amalia for a week in June and we had the best holiday. It was our first time in Corfu and we couldn’t recommend it enough. We stayed at Amalia for a week in June and we had the best holiday. It was our first time in Corfu and we couldn’t recommend it enough. The hotel itself was in a perfect location, with Two beaches within easy walking distance, and the bus within an easy few minute walk to access both local Ipsos and Corfu town. The staff really made the experience of the hotel as they were lovely, so friendly and helpful. The food and drink for the all inclusive was great. There was also always easy access to the pool and a nice and relaxed atmosphere to sit all day. We would definitely visit again and stay here.

We are on our last day here now and I wanted to firstly say we were apprehensive having read reviews but we’ve had a lovely holiday. So here’s the positive points first:- 1. Staff are friendly 2. Christina on the snack bar is great- very good customer service, friendly and accommodating. Her yoghurt bowls are sooooo good !! 3. Food - yes there isn’t a huge choice but there’s enough to find something to eat. It’s a small hotel, you aren’t going to get heaps and heaps of choice. 4. Pool is great, lovely temperature and cleaned regularly. 5. Reception area is lovely if you want an escape from the sun. 6. Lovely to see home growing fruit and vegetables around and beautiful ground/flowers … really pretty. 7. It’s a lovely quaint hotel that appears traditional yet modern fresh touches. 8. Considering it’s near a busy road- it’s quiet. Restaurants across the road - La Casa, Alexandros Taverna all very good too with a few supermarket style shops for amenities and souvenirs. 9. We arrived late and it was a lovely touch to have fresh baguettes handed to us the staff had prepared in advance. Not so good points. 1. Rooms don’t have great storage and they are definitely on the smaller side. 2. Cleaners don’t clean the rooms- simply make the beds and put fresh towels out. This let the place down as it’s the small touches that make the difference. Towels smell strong of chemicals too. 3. All inclusive drinks are limited- cocktails could be made with a bit more effort of added fruit etc spirits that are included - some are branded and some are local and those that are included are limited. 4. Poolside needs a clean- they don’t jet wash the sides and sunbeds at all and this is leading to more and more ants and wasps attracted to any spillages of sun creams and drink spillages! 5. Poolside toilets need a clean throughout the day and regularly topped up with toilet rolls. This wasn’t done and we had to keep asking staff for toilet rolls. Again the little touches is important for hygiene. 6. Not enough sunbeds for the hotel which leads to an early start if you want one. 7. Snack bar needs to be open longer. Theirs is a long duration in between lunch closing in the restaurant and the snack bar re opening which means nothing available to eat. Not even crisps etc to purchase. 8. It’s very remote with not a lot around so if you’re happy to lounge all day and do nothing and not a lot in the evenings - it’s perfect for you. Otherwise it’s a bus to Ipsos or Corfu town! Be prepared for the humidity and heat. 9. Hard to identify staff as they don’t wear uniform. 10. Not enough tables at the poolside bar for the evening time and is very hot in the evenings. 11. Although it’s an adult only hotel- It’s aimed at the older age bracket. My children were 18-22 and nothing at all to do. 12. All inclusive stops at 11pm and after this you have to pay for drinks. Even the paid cocktails are poor, I wouldn’t bother! It is a beautiful quaint hotel that is trying hard to become up and coming, if comments and reviews are listened too and put into practice, I believe it will do better for future reviews. If you want a holiday to simply relax by the pool, not fussy with food and drink and are comfortable to do very little in the evenings unless venturing out, then this is ideal.
