The aesthetic of this hotel is stunning in person. Every corner looks elegant and carefully designed without feeling overdone. Our room was spacious, quiet and cleaned daily to a very high standard. The staff were polite, approachable and always willing to help with recommendations around the island. The pool area had a luxurious but relaxed vibe that made it easy to spend entire afternoons there. We had a fantastic holiday overall.

Just returned from a week's stay at Unda and we had a brilliant time. Just to preface, the construction work mentioned in earlier reviews closer to the hotel's reopening date now appears to be in its very final stages and caused no disruption to our holiday at all. Our great experience started when we first arrived, when we were provided with a welcome drink and snack, whilst the lady who checked us in (unfortunately we didn't manage to catch her name) gave us an informative tour of the room and the hotel grounds. Room was very comfortable, spacious and was maintained very well by the housekeeping team. There are multiple pool areas but the Rheo Pool was our favourite. Relaxing, quiet atmosphere and great sea views. There was never a time that we struggled to get a sunbed either. We had seen differing opinions on the all-inclusive food in previous reviews but, for us, this was the best food we have had at an all-inclusive buffet. It was fresh, a good selection and held Greek authenticity. Drinks were really good too, with cocktails made freshly to order and very good quality. Every member of staff was fantastic, but I just wanted to give a special mention to the following members of staff who helped give us such a wonderful experience. We dined at both a La Carte restaurants and both Sotirious (manager of Pietra) and Kostantinos (manager of Nami) really helped elevate our dining experience with their friendly, attentive service and a wealth of knowledge about the food and wine we ordered. I didn't manage to catch the lifeguards name, but we really enjoyed our chats with him around the pool and he took great pride in maintaining his pool areas. We also really enjoyed our chats with Sotiris behind the Rheo pool bar, his service with a smile was second to none. Finally, the aforementioned lady that checked us in also helped us on a number of occasions throughout the holiday with our queries and she was a pleasure to talk to. As said, unfortunately we didnt get her name but we checked in at around 3pm on 09/07 if this helps :) All in all, we had a wonderful experience at Unda and would definitely return.

“Great idea and great vibe but not quite full marks”

Nice location overlooking the sea and distant mountain peaks of Albania. However, to reach this five star hotel you must drive down a quarter mile of rough dirt track. It wouldn't take much to tarmac this from the main road. Also the track up and down to Roda & Achivari was rough and whilst fine… more

Nice location overlooking the sea and distant mountain peaks of Albania. However, to reach this five star hotel you must drive down a quarter mile of rough dirt track. It wouldn't take much to tarmac this from the main road. Also the track up and down to Roda & Achivari was rough and whilst fine for me probably wouldn't be suitable for an elderly person. The atmosphere was great. Nice chilled music playing throughout the resort and just a great chill-out vibe. Room was modern and well appointed with lovely decor. However, i felt that a five star hotel on all inclusive should include the drinks in the mini-bar without extra charge. We travelled early season on a good deal so would say that it was excellent value. The entire place was spotlessly clean. Only issue was that some of the glasses weren't dried properly and had streaks on them occasionally. The service was almost perfect. Attentive staff who would remember your favourite drinks and come around the loungers offering drinks during the day. Whilst waiting on drinks at mealtimes there was sometimes a delay as orders would get passed from the waiter / waitress to the bar & then somebody else would bring it. Food and drinks were of very good quality for the most part although i got bored of the draught lager (it tasted quite weak). When we arrived the buffet was served in the old part of the development, and midway through our week it moved to the new part. We found the food remained hotter under the heat lamps in the old restaurant. I would recommend renting a little car from the airport if you fancy a few days out and about as i didn't see much public transport on the island.

My partner and I had a 10 day stay in July in a private pool room. Overall, I’d say it was a solid 3.5/5. Staff were excellent, no issues there. Hotel was clean and well kept. But, some advice for those thinking of going. It’s under construction. And whilst that didn’t really impact our holiday, it’s worth noting. It’s also a new hotel and, generally, you can see they’re just getting things going so it’s not a fully smooth experience. But again, didn’t really impact our holiday. Food was….OK. Not top notch, not basic. Some labelled dishes (usually the obvious ones), some not (usually the local ones!) which we found quite confusing. It’s a very ‘Instagram’ hotel, if you’re in to that kind of thing. Private Pool rooms are….not private! You get your own pool, yes. But can be viewed by others from all sides with staff regularly walking across the back of the pool. So if you’re thinking of indulging in any ‘private’ activities…..don’t! Not much in the way of evening entertainment. We spent most nights in either Roda or Acharavi. Both of which are a short walk. Loads of sun beds available, no mad 6am rush, thank god. All inclusive drinks were a bit…..so so. Spa we ended up at their sister hotel down the road. Good massages but, kinda like going to your local gym. No bells and/or whistles! So yeah, lovely place, might go back but wouldn’t do All Inclusive.
