I have nothing negative to say. We had the most amazing time! A family of 5 and we fit perfectly into the room. We had a private pool which was such a perk especially as the pools are open 10-6pm. The food was great and the kiddies loved the entertainment. We never struggled to get a sunbed but we didn't spend much time down by the main pool as used the others. There are always people cleaning around the hotel and we had the most amazing stay.

Just spend 11 days at Ydoria. We are 2 families with 2 kids (2boys and 2 girls) Don’t bother negative reviews about food and drinks. All fresh and tasty. Very Good quality for All Inclusive! Entertainment: our kids didn’t participate that much but loved What they did. Evening entertainment is Nice. Fireshow was good! We had 2 familie rooms. Just spot on! But at arrival, one family had one not renovated family room. Lucky, after going to reception en being understandfully helped, we got also a renovated room and loved it! Point of dissapointment: waterslides (and female lifeguard). Our kids are good swimmers that love to Enjoy the slides… but they didn’t… lifeguard just annoying and very very strict to everything, How you use the slides, How you get out the pool,…. Just didn’t love it (and kids didn’t also). Irini, barkeeper at the poolbar just made the holiday even more Nice. Always smiling and friendly! Big big shout out to Irini! Thankyou for everything!!

In short, we loved this hotel. The food was great (always pizza and pasta for the kids in case they didn't want anything else), ice cream was great, pools were great, room was great. The kids mini-disco was great, as was the entertainment. It was nice that I could take my 3y old on the slide with me. We were only at the kids pool for the whole week (except for this 1 time we went to the sea) so I can only speak about that area. There are indeed people who reserve their seats early and then show up after lunch. When I asked the reception they said it's not allowed and to let them know and they would take care of it. For us, we always found a spot so I never had to go there. The pool with slides had a young lady as the life guard but she was more on her phone than actual life guarding - that was my impression at least. She did her job but she could have stayed off the phone a bit more. We booked a room with a private swimming pool because our kids would wake up early and the pool only opens later on and closes early-ish, so kids could still enjoy swimming. However our swimming pool we were sharing with another family next to us. The pool was a bit bigger than the usual ones but it's weird to pay for a private pool and then you share with another family. This might be a communication error on the agency (Fischer) that this was not shared with us. However, when speaking to the reception, they showed us another room and we were free to move. Unfortunately that room had a pool where you had the stairs to climb in and out (like in a normal swimming pool) and the one we had was a walk-in one which was better for the 3y old but I give them A for effort! Another thing that bothered me was that people were smoking next to the kids pool, when asking reception, they said it's allowed because it's outside but I know enough hotels that have a no smoking rule near kid pools. We had an issue with our lock of our room but after maintenance came 3 times, I knew the 'trick' so we didn't have to call him again. The beach is a pebble beach, so be aware and you do need to cross the road and pass other resorts to go to the beach. We went a bit further (when you go out, go left and 500m or so further, go right) where you can book a full day for 15 euro for 2 beds and 2 small waters. You can also order drinks and food. It was pretty good and next to the sea. I choose this hotel based on reviews (especially the food part) and they didn't disappoint. All staff was very helpful and friendly. Thank you Ydoria!

“Expecting more.”

We flew home from this hotel just last night, after spending 10 nights here for 6.5K. 2 adults and 4 children we had no choice but to book 2 rooms, luckily we managed to book 1 room with a private pool & the other without. 1 adult with 2 children in both rooms. We arrived at the hotel around 12am ish. The hotel had left leftover food from dinner for us to eat, we where extremely grateful as we was very hungry and unaware of food times for surrounding restaurants and the last thing we wanted to do was leave the hotel after traveling with 4 children aged 7-15. We had booked superior rooms, 1 with a private pool. There was nothing superior about the room if I'm honest. They where both extremely small, the room with the pool was smaller, the shower door was right next to the hotel door, and it opened outwards, tiny bathroom that remained soaked if someone had a shower. There was only the bathroom mirror in the room without the pool, no where to hang towels to dry (both rooms on ground floor). Every single morning we where waken with the cleaners walking and shouting up and down the hallways, using their cleaning trolleys so if your looking forward to a lay in, ground floor isn't a great place to be! The food was ok, breakfast consisted of multiple choices of fruits, yoghurts, cereals, pastry's and some cooked food. We found the Lunch options and dinner options very repetitive, so much so we were sick of eating chips and pizza. We had to eat out a few times to try and look forward to some food. Poolside food was chips (yummy ones) pizza, hotdogs, burgers, gyros, chicken nuggets and fish fingers. your typical all inclusive poolside snacks and it done the job! Hot food was kept warm and cold food was kept cold, all kept fresh away from flys and bugs ect. The cocktails and mocktails were really good, and was always served with a smile from the lovely staff. Soft drinks on tap (Pepsi, 7up, lemon, orange and water ect). (Strawberry coconut cocktail was my personal favourite). I simply can not write this review without mentioning Rico the entertainer, he is genuinely a pure happy soul. Having had conversations with him about his life and watching him bring everyone together for games during the day and entertainment in the evening, he really did make the day/evenings so enjoyable!! My children will certainly miss him and aqua gym!! I must mention fiyena (I hope I have spelt that correct) the lifeguard. She is outstanding, she is firm but very fair. She will ensure every child is safe but she will also make sure every single person around the pool is having fun and enjoying themselves, she really is a star who pitches in with cleaning plates and rubbish as well as helping children with their goggles and inflateables. What I will say is the first day we got there the floor was so slippy it had adults and children falling over, a major accident waiting to happen. I believe she made the hotel provide some safety mats to help, especially down slippery slopes and around the slids! It is very wise if you are not in the pool or on a sun lounger WEAR FOOTWEAR!! Ultimately we wouldn't come back to the hotel, and trust me we are a very fair family. We read reviews upon reviews before booking and arriving. Slightly disappointed with the hotel itself but as far as the staff go they were awesome, that's receptionists, poolside bar cook, bar staff, lifeguards and entertainers. Greek nights on Thursday evenings... make sure you stay for the full performance.. amazing! x
