Fantastic holiday for a family. The hotel and grounds are very well maintained, look beautiful and are surrounded by mountains/hills . There is not one main building but a series of almost mini villas which span across the site along with beautifully maintained gardens/plants/bushes. There was a walk between our room and different areas of the hotel but I feel like this is a small price to pay for a spacious site and the view which is maintained by keeping the buildings low. The walk from our room to the restaurant was almost like a walk through a tiny village and I enjoyed looking at the sky, mountains/hills or beach depending on the direction. We went at the start of the UK school summer holidays, and we never struggled to find sunbeds. There was a restaurant, bar and sunbeds by the beach. There was also two pool areas one with a big pool split into two sections and one children’s/sports area. The beach nor either of the pool areas ever felt overly busy while we were there, which I think may be another benefit of the site being slightly spread out (It’s not massive, I think prob 5-10 mins to walk around the outside and maybe another 5 minutes from reception to beach).The children’s area was the most relaxing pool area I’ve ever been to. The lifeguard was very active but also pragmatic, and helped make the experience lovely by always smiling but also keeping everything safe. Our 6 year old had the best time here. There was one pool, another pool with fun water slides, and a splash area/paddling pool with slides for little kids. There was a shed you could borrow sports equipment from - Tennis, mini golf, football. The service was poolside and was really nice to be able to eat and snack without having to go to the restaurant. There was no self service option so sometimes there was a wait but we recieved great service and there was always someone around. Plus since we were just relaxing on a sun-bed or in the pool we actually enjoyed the poolside service, we also found that it seemed to make the area calmer than other hotels we’ve been to as there was less movement of people around pool side carrying drinks etc. The pool menu was great, our kids snacked on fruit platters throughout the day, while we had coffees, and greek yoghurt. We also had pizzas, chicken nuggets, greek salad all lovely. We only tried one of the Al la carte restaurants even though you can dine al la carte three times during stay, but it was really lovely. Honestly we have young kids, and we loved having lunch by the pool, or by the beach. Dinner and breakfast buffets were great. The meat in particular was really impressive, always something lovely on the grill. We also really enjoyed the Cretan food area. There was always something that the kids would eat but there was also pasta, pizza and a kids corner that did chips etc. We didn’t use the kids club, but the staff who worked in it were so good with kids and really enthusiastic. We interacted with them a bit throughout the day and at the mini disco. We never stayed for entertainment in the evenings but seemed like there were things going on. We were situated towards the back of the hotel and we couldn’t hear it from our room. Our room was really spacious, and in good condition with a bath and shower. It was cleaned what felt like every time we went back to the room, and was spotless. Staff were really lovely, but not overbearing so it’s worth noting to give someone a smile or try and grab some attention. I would definitely go back again, and recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday. Oh and I wouldn’t worry about the road which we did. The hotel is set back and the reception and gym building seems to separate the road from most of the resort. There’s a nice maintained walkway underneath to access the beach, and again the beach is set back from the road so you don’t really notice it. Also we found we didn’t hear it, maybe because of the sound of the sea.

Family of 5 stayed at the Anemos Luxury grand resort for 12 nights . The hotel was spotless throughout and the food was in both the both buffets/lunch/al a carte restaurants were excellent we especially like eating at the beach bar. The beach was excellent had some unusual red flag days on the beach but we went to the pool which caused an issue regarding sunbeds for a couple of days. One to note the adult pool is really not an adult pool it’s at the side of the kids area and is not policed therefore full of kids (wrong place totally) . Excellent facilities for sports which we took advantage of. Location of the hotel 15 minutes walk to Georgioupolis and plenty of trips which are run from the hotel catch the train from outside the hotel and much takes you to the town and Lake Kournas which is well worth a trip. Hotel was spotless throughout rooms large clean and modern again cleaned everyday. Hotel value for money and would definitely go back we used the all inclusive package

We stayed here as a family for a week and of the all inclusive resorts we’ve been to it was one of the better ones. The food at lunchtime and evening meal especially was excellent. Lots of variation and top quality, breakfast was lacking, however. Not much variety. Staff were all very pleasant and willing to help. The main downside, for us, was the availability of and access to drinks. Yes, it’s all inclusive (although, not really ‘all’ inclusive as premium drinks were not included, even though we had booked as “all inclusive plus” through Jet2, which as far as I can tell is meaningless), but drinks must be ordered via waiting staff. Herein lies the main issue, for us. At mealtimes the waiting staff typically ask for drinks orders when we first sat down, but after that we’d have to wait for them to come back, sometimes during busy periods there wasn’t enough staff to ask meaning we only had one relatively small drink for an entire meal. With two children this is more of an issue. At evening entertainment (“animations”) time waiting staff is really quite low. Even when we approached the bar ourselves to place drinks orders we were told several times “someone will come to you”, which wasn’t always the case. All in all, a pleasant stay, but could be much improved by self serve drinks. This includes alcoholic, soft and hot drinks. Standard in many places we’ve stayed before. We paid quite a premium for the all inclusive package, so we’re disappointed by this. The water slides were great. Not the biggest, or the fastest, but 6 decent slides suitable for all ages. The lifeguard worked hard all week as there was one or two particularly idiotic groups, and she did her best to manage them which we appreciated. We would consider returning. Perhaps not all inclusive though.
