I booked this holiday through a third party so didn't put the hotel through the stringent checks I normally would, so when I read the TripAdvisor reviews below I honestly dreaded going. However, I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived and can honestly say that although the hotel wasn't the best I've ever stayed at, it really wasn't that bad either. Negatives: The food was challenging sometimes, as others have mentioned. I'm an adventurous eater but after my third or fourth bizarre dinner I realised that it's best to stick with what I know, and pasta and salad has been very nice since then. My key didn't work properly in the door. Not the end of the world but in 40 degree heat when you feel faint and we're desperate to get inside, it wasn't ideal. The room was very tired and no amount of cleaning could help worn-out facilities. There was also no plug in the bath. There could have been more information about the surrounding area in the foyer. There's lots of information books but none in English - tip: cross over the road and you'll find loads of information about tours etc. over there. I got eaten alive by mosquitoes. Take bug repellent! Positives: The staff (especially the younger staff) were absolutely lovely - no complaints at all. They really took care of me and my little boy. The room was bigger than I expected and as clean as they could get it, and we also had a good-sized balcony. The pool was lovely and absolutely spotless. We spent most of our time here. The gardens are also beautiful and walking to and from the beach is a pleasure. The hotel couldn't be better located for the beach and for lovely views of the mountains - its literally right there. The lady who works in the mini market is an absolute delight and we spent a lot of our time with her. Overall, this is a solid two to three star hotel, and as long as you don't come expecting more than that you won't be disappointed. We probably won't return but that's more to do with wanting to see more of the island rather than any negative feelings about the hotel.

Four of us went all inclusive in June. The location of the complex is right on the beach so had no complaints about that! As previous reviews the food was very basic, but you get what you pay for, which is a shame really as with a little more thought and care, could be improved so much! The staff in the restaurant were fairly ignorant, we were given nasty looks if we asked for two beers each and when we returned food that was poor, were given the same treatment. Meal times were very restrictive and no tea or coffee available in the evening. The accommodation was an upstairs room, they come in blocks of four and again, pretty basic with a very basic bathroom/shower. The bedding and towels were changed on a daily basis if required, just needed to ask. The best place was the beach bar, right on the beach and a lovely place to sit, although if a sun bed on the beach was required, this was extra. Lager beer and some spirits were included in the all inclusive package but only up to 10pm. Although very basic, as I said before, you get what you pay for and, so if you want a cheap holiday and don’t expect too much from the food or accommodation, then it’s ok! There are loads of nice bars and restaurants nearby, so if you don’t mind paying, then well worth taking the short walk to these. Buses are fairly regular to Reythmnon and Chania, about every hour so easy to travel around.
