We arrived late and were greeted with friendly faces in reception who provided an easy/welcoming check in while providing food (cold plates) to us. We were accompanied to our room, which was very spacious, clean and modern with all the lighting, curtains and AC controlled by an electronic touch pad which we were very impressed with! For our own interest, we asked if we could upgrade our room (since we liked the rooms with a private pool) and were promptly catered for and quickly finalised this upgrade. This room was amazing, very spacious with a divider in the room which was very ideal for us as a family whilst having a big balcony with comfortable sun beds and a private pool with a stunning view. The breakfast and dinner buffet had a wide selection of food to suit all dietary requirements and was very high quality. All the staff of the hotel were amazing and friendly. We enjoyed the yoga and pilates classes, the gym was clean, had a variety of equipment and had perfect AC units to manage the temperature since it was so hot! The gym isn’t the biggest, however it was never busy and typically we were the only ones in there when we went so there was plenty of space to do your workout. Overall, the hotel was extremely clean, the staff were incredible, the rooms were amazing and all the food was great. Beautiful hotel but what makes this a great place is the quality of service from the staff I just want to mention a few who excelled Adrianna, George ( alacarte) George (beach) Yulia restaurant. The food was probably the best we have had at a resort after travelling extensively. Evening entertainment was good. Rooms and resort were modern clean just needed a bit of colour as it felt a bit clinical in public spaces. One bottle of water provided in the room each day but you have to pay extra for other snacks drinks provided in the fridge. Beach is good, sunbeds were comfortable but small width wise compared to other 5* resorts I have stayed in. Sunbeds were always available although they could be spaced out further. Some kayaks, paddle boards and two person catamarans would be nice to have for guests to use. Beach shoes recommended as getting into the sea is pebbly for the first few metres then it is just sand. There is not much around this hotel to do with small area of shops and bars ( Spar shop) for water and alcohol if required. Catch the bus to Rethymnon for a day out which is nice except the graffiti but get a taxi back as the bus station is chaos returning. Overall this is a resort for adults to relax in not suitable for children over 4 in my opinion due to the lack of amenities.

We had a great stay at Ventale Island Breeze Resort. Our room was amazing with stunning views of the sea and mountains. We stayed in a prestige junior swim up room. The room was very spacious and clean with a huge pool. Every room has its own pool but the pools vary in size from room to room. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and they do everything they can to make your stay special. The food is good quality, with plenty of choice. The location is perfect, Kavros village is a 2 minute walk down the road where you will find a few shops, restaurants and bars, the area has a really chilled and relaxed vibe. If you want something a bit more lively, you can get the local bus to Rethymno which takes 20 minutes, loads of restaurants and bars and a lovely beach with watersports and various activities. We highly recommend this resort and the local area, we will definitely be back.

“Fab hotel, amazing staff.”

I wanted to post half way through holiday to say a huge thank you to all the wonderful staff at this hotel. A newish hotel and trying to make stays with them as perfect as they can deliver. I wanted to post half way through holiday to say a huge thank you to all the wonderful staff at this hotel. A newish hotel and trying to make stays with them as perfect as they can deliver. We have met some helpful staff in reception Kiki, Elanores and the blue eyed Sylvia. Nothing is too much trouble as I’m struggling with mobility issues and the girls have helped no end to help us with my stay. The head chef is doing a great job of delivering great buffet food and all his staff are brilliant in the restaurant. Always a smile and kindness shown. Will definitely be returning. We have a pool room which is a real treat and we’ve enjoyed the facilities that are so on point. Modern and up to date wall pads to control curtains and lighting ect. Room service excellent too. Lots nearby the hotel if you want a change of view. Big thanks once again and this review was done from the heart as there are a lot of reviews I’ve read that are hard to believe. If you have an issue speak to the staff. This is their job and they are wanting to provide the best . Karen x
