We were encouraged to book something before we went to increase our chances of a sea-view; I don't know if it made a difference as the resort wasn't very full (early season) but we booked 4 breakfasts. They were worth it - lots of stuff kept coming out and we didn't need to eat (apart from a snack or two) until the evening (and then not much - sandwiches!) Room was good, but interesting: we had a 1 bedroom apartment, but in addition to the double bed in the bedroom there were two single beds in the living room. I'd read that there was no kettle and a charge for a toaster - but they were present. I'd also read that sink plugs wee not supplied and that was true; fortunately we had taken a universal one. You're not on the beach and you'll need a car (most places are OK without 4WD) but it's a good a location to explore eastern Crete - there are a lot of historical (Minoan) sites to explore and gorges (some can be a challenge) and other walks to enjoy. The Mylonas waterfall is close by (45min- 1 hr walk from the main road) and worth visiting (I suppose depending on the season). You're about 2hrs from Heraklion/Knossos - we fitted this in on our last day with a 4:45pm flight out.

“A nice authentic feeling resort. Some issues but otherwise good.”

The staff are friendly and helpful. The room is serviced every 2nd day (not weekends) The Air conditioning worked well. Nice pool. Room is quiet. Great breakfast, Nice view over the ocean. Wifi included but in our unit was a bit hit and miss. Ok for emails and the like. Not good enough for this review. Just Ok for streaming Netflix in the evening with some buffering. I bought my star link with me which I use for things that I don't want to drop out such as banking. Mobile phone coverage is available here. Don't know about which carriers but our voda phone works here. so could have used wifi roaming on the phone. Lighting in the lounge kitchen area is poor, One day with no water and frequently no hot water. Beds are a bit too hard for our liking and pillows could do with replacing. If you have a rental car and want the genuine feel for Crete then this place is for you.

“Basic resort good for eastern Crete”

This is a basic resort, but is a good base for exploring Eastern Crete. The staff are friendly and helpful.
