“Very good hotel to book your holiday summer! This is was our second year at Albatros and it was perfectly!”

Everythink was good, the food, the rooms (very clean and good insulation from the sound from outside, you sleep very good ), member staff are very polite and very working, iff i come again in Herssonissos definitely i will choose Albatros Hotel!

Jedzenie bardzo dobre, organizacja i praca osób w restauracji rewelacyjna. Jestem osobą na diecie bezglutenowej, mogłam liczyć na pomoc kucharza. Zawsze miałam co zjeść. Co więcej hotel zapewnia pieczywo bezglutenowe itp. Dziękujemy! The hotel met our expectations. The location was fantastic—very close to the town center and the beach. We were welcomed with breakfast and received our room very quickly. The staff were always smiling and helpful. The food was excellent, and the organization and performance of the restaurant team were outstanding. As someone on a gluten-free diet, I could count on the chef's assistance; there was always something for me to eat. What’s more, the hotel provides gluten-free bread etc. Thank you!

We rarely leave negative reviews, but after giving the hotel the opportunity to address our concerns privately, we feel it is important to share our experience for the benefit of other travellers, particularly families with young children. We booked Albatros Spa & Resort through Jet2 based on its 5-star rating, premium room category and family-friendly description. Unfortunately, our experience fell well below the standard we expected, and after just two nights we made the difficult decision to relocate to another hotel at a cost of over £1,000. We have never left a hotel early before, so this was certainly not a decision we took lightly. Our room did not reflect the impression created by the photographs shown during the booking process. The décor and furnishings felt dated, basic and not what we would expect from a premium room in a hotel marketed as 5-star. During our stay we experienced a persistent unpleasant odour in the room, an ongoing issue with the sink plug which made it difficult to soak and clean our baby’s bottles, and in-room facilities that felt tired and poorly maintained. Although maintenance attended, the issues persisted and communication about what had been investigated or resolved was lacking. The biggest issue for us was the evening entertainment. Our room was directly opposite the live music area, with loud music continuing until around 10:30 pm. As parents travelling with a 1-year-old, this made it extremely difficult for our child to settle and sleep. When we raised our concerns, we felt they were dismissed, and we were initially told there were no alternative rooms available. It was only after we had decided to leave and booked another hotel that a different room was offered. By that stage, we had unfortunately lost confidence that our concerns would be taken seriously. We were also disappointed with the food. Compared with other 5-star hotels we have stayed in, we found the variety and quality below expectations. On several occasions buffet items, including scrambled eggs and pasta dishes, were noticeably watery, and the overall selection felt limited. Whilst many members of the restaurant team were friendly and helpful, our experience with reception was mixed. We did not feel our concerns were met with the empathy or understanding we would have expected, and at no point during our stay did we receive an apology for the inconvenience caused. We subsequently contacted the hotel owner directly before posting this review, as we wanted to resolve matters privately. We appreciated receiving an initial response, but after clarifying several factual points and explaining the significant additional costs we incurred by relocating, we unfortunately received no further reply. Every guest’s experience is different, and some visitors may have an enjoyable stay. However, based on our experience, we do not feel this hotel met our expectations of a 5-star property or that it was particularly well suited to families travelling with babies or very young children. Aside from the swimming pool, we found there were limited facilities aimed at younger children, and the evening entertainment may not be compatible with early bedtimes. We hope this review helps other travellers make an informed decision when choosing their accommodation.

We recently stayed here for 10 nights. Overall, it was ok but just wanted to point out pros and cons below:- Pros - Friendly staff - Location is close to beach and nightlife (walking distance) Cons - This is advertised as a 5 star hotel……it isn’t! - On arrival/check in at 9pm we were shown to room which I could only describe as feeling like being in a prison cell! Shared balcony with next door, not private at all. On a busy road and was woken up by bin men, raucous late night party people. We spoke to reception next morning and after waiting around for a room we was given a better room but still not 5 star standard - Room on 3rd floor overlooking restaurant and pool area. So so noisy - woken up every morning by cleaners talking loudly moving around furniture from upstairs room plus general noisy people in corridor from 7am…don’t they realise people want to sleep!!!! - TV only had 1 English Channel and that was CNN news…..so just depressing to have on in background all the time. Why not have music and film channels as options?! I was unwell 1 day in bed and just wanted to watch something and couldn’t. Again not 5 star!! - Food was not great. Only had breakfast once. When I did eat dinner I opted for cold pasta as didn’t eat rabbit and pork (only meat options). Seemed to have same thing every night. We decided to eat late (9pm and restaurant closed at 9.30pm) and food was not being refreshed so lots of empty dishes. Even when I wanted to get an ice cream as dessert there was no ice cream left. The restaurant was extremely busy and didnt have the best vibe. The serving staff we had were always friendly but seemed quite stressed out being so busy, - Pool area ok but lots of loungers right next to each other. Food and drinks available to order with waitress service. You have to pay 5 euros per person to get a pool towel and can get changed daily in spa. You get deposit back. Again waitress service was also friendly when I got a drink but on 1 occasion I got told off for bringing back a bottle of water and some snacks from on site mini market to eat at pool. Others around me were doing exactly the same so not sure why I was picked out to be told off! I couldn’t find any signage to say only food/drinks from hotel to be consumed onsite. - Evening entertainment was ok - we only stayed to watch the Greek dancing for 30 mins one night and was good. It seemed like there was same entertainment on each night over summer season. Sorry to say but we won’t be coming back. This was 4th summer holiday in Hersonissos. Me and my boyfriend both agreed the other hotels we had stayed at (4 star) were better than this hotel. This hotel seemed to be a better option for families rather than couples.
