Spent 10 days here. IGNORE THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS. This little hotel is a little gem. The pool and bar area are spotlessly clean. Pool opens from 9am to 7pm and you will aways get a sunbed. Adults only so very peaceful with low level music in the pool bar. Billy the night manger is a great guy and offers help and advice if you arrive late, even gave me a packet of cigarettes save me walking into town and said “pay me back later”. Wouldnt get this anywhere else. Billy prefers cash during the evening but they do accept card and don’t moan about it. Like everywhere in Greece cash is king due to the shocking amount they have to pay in tax, but they are happy to accept cards. The pool area is beautiful with really well maintained gardens that look stunning. Angela who works the bar with Caroline during the day, Angela is like my mum, such a lovely woman happy to spend time chatting to you always smiling and the food is really good, cooked fresh and prices are reasonable. Drinks are reasonably priced too. The apartments lie on an incline between the main town (don’t go there unless you want to hop over passed out teenagers all over the place) go up the hill about 10 mins walk to the lovely villages and restaurants of piskopiano and koutouloufari. Uphill there but after a few drinks downhill all the way! Nearest supermarket is about 750m down the hill (go out the back gate it’s quicker) rooms are basic, cleaned every other day with linens and towels changed, bins emptied everyday. Bring a teatowel! Cleaners wave and say hello to you if sat on balcony. Views to the mountains are incredible especially at night. We would 100% return here for the location, the views, the clean and tidy complex and definitely the staff. Thank you Angela and team for making our 10 days wonderful and we will 100% return. Air con is paid locally, don’t moan, you’ll need it! Check out is 11am can leave cases securely at reception and pool bar has a toilet and shower you can you use so you can make the most of the last Cretan sunshine.
