I spent 7 wonderful days at Porto Greco Village Beach Hotel and couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the moment I arrived, everything was absolutely perfect. The food was outstanding — a great variety of dishes and drinks to suit every taste, and I never got bored with the options. The beach bar was an absolute dream; the perfect spot to unwind with a cocktail and soak in the beautiful surroundings. The room was spotless throughout our entire stay — you could tell the housekeeping team takes real pride in their work. The staff across the hotel were incredibly friendly and always happy to help with anything we needed, making me feel truly welcome. This is definitely on my list for a return visit. If you're looking for a relaxing holiday in Crete with excellent food, a stunning beach bar, impeccable cleanliness, and warm hospitality, look no further than Porto Greco Village Beach Hotel. I'll be back!

“Fantastic Location and Friendly Staff, but AC Problems”

We stayed in Crete, Greece, as a group of eight people, and overall we had a great vacation. The all-inclusive package was excellent. Every day there was a different selection of food, so there was always something for everyone. As a vegetarian, the choice was a bit more limited, but I still found something delicious to eat every day. The indoor and outdoor pool areas were beautiful and well maintained. The location of the hotel was also perfect – right by the beach, with a bar nearby and close to the town center. There was a bus stop only a 4-minute walk away, so we were even able to visit Heraklion by bus. The old town of Hersonissos was also within a pleasant 20–30 minute walk. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were able to communicate with them in both English and German without any problems. We had two family rooms with balconies, and the view was fantastic. Unfortunately, there were also some downsides. The air conditioning in one of our rooms stopped working during our stay. We reported the issue to the reception several times and were told it would be repaired, but it was only fixed one day before our departure. Since air conditioning was included in the room price, this was very disappointing. We would have appreciated either a room change or some kind of compensation. We were told that this was not possible because the hotel was fully booked. Spending three days without air conditioning in the summer made sleeping very uncomfortable. To make matters worse, the air conditioning in the second room also stopped working on the second-to-last day. Again, we were only told that nothing could be done. As a result, we did not receive the air conditioning service that was promised and included in the price. The rooms themselves were acceptable, but they could have been cleaner and better maintained. Overall, we had a wonderful holiday thanks to the great food, excellent location, beautiful pools, and friendly staff. However, the problems with the air conditioning significantly affected our stay and should have been handled much better.

The hotel is made up of several adjoining buildings and where we stayed I tend to think that they do not offer the same room conditions as those in the building where the reception is. Beautiful location close to the sea. Relaxing atmosphere! The hotel is made up of several adjoining buildings and where we stayed I tend to think that they do not offer the same room conditions as those in the building where the reception is. Unfortunately the room we received was probably suitable for 2 stars, although we paid for 4 stars... Smell of mold even though we left a small window open at all times. We tried changing it, but unfortunately two alternatives offered were not worth the effort of carrying luggage. The rooms were properly cleaned, clean towels. The breakfast is repetitive, but with so many alternatives, it's impossible not to find something to your taste. The drinks are satisfying! There was noise from the clubs and noisy neighbors, but nothing too bad. We left the hotel quite late, vacated the room at 11 am and took our luggage to a specially arranged room - they were super O.K. with this service. In general, the staff was friendly, but despite this they did not help us relocate even though we had a 7-night stay...
