fantastic spa attached this hotel Tea was excellent, I had a full body scrub and facial massage , she was professional, knowledgeable of skin issues I had . Would definitely recommend you pay this spa a visit for total relaxation and treatments

I with my wife didn't expect something superior when we booked the apartment there but were really surprised upon arrival: we were given with a nice light room which was quite small but acceptable. The room is very-very basic with limited amount of cooking battery but has almost all necessary things. Advantages: - location with nice beaches near; - price for the accommodation; Disadvantages: - very poor level of service quality: 1) almost the whole day it is impossible to find any of the hotel's staff so it is quite complicated to find the required information or to ask to clean the room/change towels 2) we had a late departure and two days prior that day we had prolonged our stay till the evening (extra 20 euros) which was confirmed by the owner. At the departure day we were really surprised when under the door we found a letter (thankfully with 20 euros inside) with the rejection of the prolongation. No apologies were given regarding this issue by the owner.

After reading some reviews i was very concerned about our stay here at Anemi apartments because although we knew we had booked a 3 star basic holiday i was worried about what we would find. Firstly it is basic but our room was spotlessly clean if dated. It had a fridge, kettle and a table top cooker with 2 rings , aircon which is a extra charge but no television. Some rooms have had a re-furb ours hadnt but we had a decent size room with a balcony over looking the pool and one at the back over looking mountains (ok it did have a car park in between but not a issue ) The bedding and towels were changed regularly. The pool is small and was cleaned regularly, .Manos who looked after the running of the hotel as well as attending the bar was a really friendly man who went out of his way to help as much as you needed ,we often went for a drink before going down the strip at night just to have a chat with him . The Dog and Crown pub which is still shown on both Tui and trip advisor is no longer there and asnt been for 6 years its now just a small bar with tables and chairs outside but nice to have a quiet drink. we found the location great as it is right on the main strip so turn left from hotel straight into pubs , restaurants and shops and right takes you a 25 minute walk into Malia past more restaurants, shops. The beach was pretty much across the road where sun loungers are 8 euros for 2 but walk furthur down the beach and they become free if you buy a drink from the restaurant which is what we did. We had a great holiday here and if you dont mind basic this could be for you, if you like luxury and top notch then try somewhere else, We paid £1200 for two people and felt this was value for time of year we stayed (early July ) much more and properly not such a good deal. The travel company are who get the bulk of the cost of the holiday only a small amount goes to the hotel you choose to stay in so could be worth trying to cut out the middle man and book direct with the hotel ? We will return to stalis and would stay here again .
