We - three adults and one child - spent 7 remarkable days in one of the apartments facing the sea. Iliostasi beach apts. is cleverly located close to the sea and across the street from Lychnostatis museum where breakfast is served in open air among old time artifacts in a retro style environment. The swimming pool is clean, filled with sea water and very well kept. Not far is a supermarket where you can buy fruit, food, drinks, beach items etc. We warmly reccomend this pleasant and well kept location run by the very polite Mr Yiannis. Petre and Anca Ghibu

“A lovely traditional apartment block- great location”

We only stayed here one night but wished we had booked longer. A lovely gem of a place. Really friendly family owned- the owners were lovely and very welcoming. We only stayed here one night but wished we had booked longer. A lovely gem of a place. Really friendly family owned- the owners were lovely and very welcoming. They own the museum opposite which was well worth a visit. Fantastic breakfast by the sea. The pool is really clean and pretty. Apartment big, clean and lovely sea view. Quiet on the night-away from the hustle and bustle. 10 minute walk to the start of Star Beach- if you have young children to use the free waterpark facilities. An excellent stay- thank you.

I and my family stayed at iliostasi hotel in hersonissos -Crete from 25 of July to 15 of August. We had a lovely time, our hostess , the owner of the accommodation were , are truly amazing people! Always very polite and try theirs best to accommodate any requests from guests. They were there always to help but were never intrusive ! My room at the hotel was very comfortable and, had a beautiful view, also was cleaned almost everyday. The staff of the museum was also lovely people and very hard working, Pandelis the waiter works hard there , but always polite with a lovely smiling.The lady that works in the museum bar also a very kind person . Wishing to everyone there happiness and I miss it all , the sea view, the friendly of the staff . Wanderlea de Souza

This is a family run place, and it has a very laid-back feel to it. The breakfast is served in the open-air lychnostatis museum opposite, which is a beautiful setting. This is a family run place, and it has a very laid-back feel to it. The breakfast is served in the open-air lychnostatis museum opposite, which is a beautiful setting. You can also access the beach from here. It is only open 9.00-14.00, so to get off the beach after that, you have to climb a small rocky path, which is not ideal if you have mobility issues. The pool is lovely and contains sea water, so there are no chemicals! Big thumbs up. To hire 2 sunbeds and a parasol on the beach, it is €7,00. Less than 10 minutes walk up it is €20,00, so a bargain. The rooms are a bit tired looking, and our sliding door was really hard to slide. The pictures on the website must be quite old, but it is what it is. I would stay here again just because of the location and the friendliness of all the staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! It was quiet, and we felt safe. Definitely visit the museum, you get a discount if you stay at the apartments. Thanks for being so welcoming!
