We initially worried about coming to this hotel with the negative reviews about the food. However we have had the best time, the entertainment team are brilliant the slides for the children are great and the pools are super refreshing. we did have a issue with sunbeds, you have to get out early in the morning to get one. But once we had our routine we knew what we were doing. We worried about the food but honestly the roast beef is some of the best beef I have ever had! I am super fussy and so are the children but we always managed to find something. The rooms are very small and could do with updating, but lets face it do you go on holiday to sit in your room?

Very nice hotel, hard working staff. Good variety of food, differing themes every evening. Rooms always cleaned to high standard. Clean pools and facilities, manager Andreas went out of his way to help with any issues, and made us feel very welcome, water park excellent fun and well supervised by lifeguard team. All in all excellent holiday in a lovely holtel, highly recommended. Ben Hewitt

Despite the fact we were slightly early arriving to the hotel the staff were kind and allowed us to store our luggage and go straight into lunch. When we did get our rooms we were allocated a Garden Room. This was towards the beach and on the ground floor which allowed us to sit out on the grass balcony area and enjoy sea views. The room was perfectly big enough for three, a little tired, but understandable when the hotel is having major renovations from next month. The hotel was clean and the cleaners tried to do as much as they could each day. The hotel restaurant was good, we liked the fact there are still guards over the food (possibly from Covid) to keep it warm and protected. The restaurant could be chaotic at peak times but there are signs around the hotel telling you when to avoid these times if you prefer a quieter meal. Sitting outside was lovely to eat and have dinner. The waitress staff weren’t the most charismatic but they cleared tables quickly in the very hot heat. Larger glasses could be used for soft drinks as it’s frustrating when kids keep having to get up mid meal to get a drink, but just use one of the beer glasses if needed. The poolside cups were plastic and a much better size. The pool bar was great for accessing drinks but we didn’t eat there. The animation team were brilliant. Very friendly, always chatty and good to help. My husband played pétanque but it was on a wonky part of the beach so not really suitable to play… maybe do it on the volleyball court? Joy from the animation team and I got talking throughout the week and she was friendly, fun and outgoing. They didn’t pester you to join in but loved it when you did. I’ve never seen so many people (including me) do aqua Zumba and it really brought a smile to my face. The evening entertainment was professional and simple. Yes it wasn’t exactly cabaret but it was fun for kids and adults alike… you just had to get involved! If not there’s tonnes of other areas to sit, talk, play card games etc. many people chose to sit at the pool bar. Although we had a garden room near the arcades and pool bar it was quiet at night and perfectly comfy. Ask for a second key so you can keep the air con on all day as it gets very hot in those rooms. We used the beach and if you walk towards the lifeguard hut you can enter the sea with less stones… if not take beach shoes as it can be sharp to walk on. People leave their inflatables, books, surfboards all around the resort for you to take when finished with, but there is a box next to the entertainment hut you can leave things in. Don’t buy any inflatables out of the shop it’s very expensive.. and you can pick up all sorts of ones around the pool. Take a pen to mark your belongings as yours. Although both the shop keepers were very friendly and helpful when we brought other items. We went on the little white land train that you can buy tickets for in the hotel grounds, and it took us to a cave and a distillery. It was a super trip and not expensive. This holiday was for us to relax and enjoy as a family of three (2 adults one ten year old). We were apprehensive reading some of the reviews but we were glad we chose this hotel. My son even though ten, enjoyed the smaller pool and it’s flumes but also could ride all the large flumes in the water park. The lifeguards were fantastic, they work hard all day in the heat and try to keep everyone as safe as can be… just respect them and don’t be silly. The main pool is lovely, plenty big enough to swim in just dodge the lilos! The animation team, especially Joy, the people we met and the staff in the hotel were all fantastic. I’m sure when it’s renovated it will be EVEN BETTER, but I expect the prices will be put up. Hopefully it won’t out price families. But a fantastic stay in a family friendly hotel. Thank you all for making our trip so enjoyable. Crete was amazing!

Hmmm 🤔 where do I start? Pleasant I would say but there are lots of things need addressing. This is definitely not a 4 star hotel, it's dated and in need of updating. We were in one of the outer rooms, tiny, cramped for 3 adults and a child and quite shabby really. The food is ok a bit repetitive... more

Hmmm 🤔 where do I start? Pleasant I would say but there are lots of things need addressing. This is definitely not a 4 star hotel, it's dated and in need of updating. We were in one of the outer rooms, tiny, cramped for 3 adults and a child and quite shabby really. The food is ok a bit repetitive and quite limited on choice but edible. The pools are great for the kids especially the water slides. The grounds are well kept and the staff friendly. Entertainment is ok'ish but have seen far better but the entertainment team do their best. Overall it's not a bad hotel but I wouldn't return which is a pity because we've stayed at Louis hotel on Cyprus and that was excellent. Creta is good for families but overpriced by the UK holiday companies
