My family and I recently spent 10 days at Lolida beach. We had the most incredible time, and are sad to be home! Firstly, the rooms were beautifully clean, with stunning views of the pool and ocean, in addition, the housekeepers were lovely and kind, and did an amazing job at keeping on top of our rooms, and refreshing our beds and towels each day. The pools and beach were lovely, the hotel having two pools meant neither were ever too busy, including never having to struggle to find a sun bed. The only issue we had with the sun beds was when lying on them, the paint often came off onto our skin and clothes, when the sun was really hot. The location is wonderful, having small gift shops scattered along the road, with plenty of supermarkets, easy access to public transport + taxis when necessary. In a short bus ride, you were able to reach Chania town which is full of markets and shops. Alternatively, a 10 minute drive down the opposite direction takes you to platainias, which has more shops, but plenty of restaurants and nightlife. The all inclusive bundle is great, there is plenty of drink options, as well as a lovely selection of food for every meal. We found so much option, even for the picky eaters of the bunch! The weather in June was lovely and sunny! With Lolida having a bar opposite the beach, every evening was spent with a beautiful view and a fresh drink. There’s a small amount of entertainment, such as dancers + karaoke, which created lots of memories for us! There’s also mini golf and a small arcade opposite, which is lovely to do on the nights of no entertainment. Lastly, the staff were incredible. They are very polite and welcoming. They all work very hard, with long shifts but always delivered great service. Two particular staff members, Yannis and Stratos made our holiday memorable, by working the bar in the evening, they were faces we saw every night, always offering great conversations, smiles and quick and efficient service. We also made friends with the black and white cat who often stays around the hotel! he was super friendly, and we named him smudge! In conclusion, we had an amazing holiday, and Lolida is a destination we will definitely come back too in the future. We would recommend to anybody looking for a memorable holiday in Crete.

Lovely clean rooms...very friendly helpful staff. I cannot fault anything with this accommodation except some locks on female individual toilets in beach bar would be helpful. Location, Grounds, and Beach The hotel is wonderfully located right on the beachfront. The sandy beach features a very gradual and comfortable entry into the sea. No swim shoes are required. Since you have to walk quite a distance to swim in deeper water, this beach is absolutely ideal for families with small children. ​Inside the hotel itself and throughout its common areas, it is clean. However, the outer perimeter is unfortunately dirty and neglected. To be honest, the entire tourist area of Agia Marina has changed for the worse recently in terms of cleanliness. ​Another downside is the logistics. It is very inconvenient and unsafe to cross the road when going to the restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Local drivers are not very pedestrian-friendly. It would be great if the hotel management could push for at least a pedestrian crossing (zebra crossing) and a road sign here, or ideally, a traffic light. ​Dining (All-inclusive) The food is organized on an all-inclusive basis. Let's put it this way: you won't starve, but you won't get any gastronomic pleasure either. The head chef seems to have a special love for salt—a huge number of dishes were heavily oversalted. That being said, I would like to thank the management for plenty of fresh fruit, decent coffee, and well-organized evening entertainment for the guests. ​Suggestions for Management ​Designated Smoking Areas: Since many families with small children stay at this hotel, it would be highly appreciated if specific smoking areas were designated. Currently, people smoke all around the pool relaxation area, which causes great discomfort to non-smokers and children. ​Cleaning Quality (Cleaning/Housekeeping): I also kindly ask the management to look into modern, professional cleaning tools. Investing in high-quality mops and microfiber cloths will not only significantly raise the standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the hotel but will also optimize staff working hours and reduce financial expenses on chemical detergents. ​With love and great respect to those who give us, people of the North, the opportunity to enjoy the bright sun and warm sea!

“Pleasant and calm.”

We had a great stay at the hotel. Good, varied food, great vegetables and good fruit. Quiet and peaceful. Nice beach. Will gladly return.
