One week in Proimos' maisonnettes in Platanias... One week of beauty, relax, comfort, elegance and discreet. The complex is just 30 meters from the long sandy beach, so you wake up and you dive in crystal blue waters. The apartments are very nice designed, a Cretan-based traditional architecture with contemporary style, well combined. Fully equipped. From the separate bedrooms till the kitchenette where you can prepare a lovely breakfast or a lunch to enjoy it in your private full of green balcony. The trees, the swimming pool, the lovely Frog snack bar, the mini library to get a book, are all at your feet. With all safety precautions. Above all, the people: the gentleman landlord and owner Constantinos with his personal care (and a PhD in Philosophy and History of Arts), the "vivid" Mary to prepare anything you want to eat and drink in the "Frog snack bar" with authentic cretan products, the "mama" Vaso who takes care of rooms. All these taking place in such a beautiful environment, with piece of mind in an cosmpopolitan sense, where time has stopped. A mini paradise for reuvanation. Our family's best vacations! We have had a Wonderfull stay at Proimos Maisonettes. The owner and staff are very welcoming and helpful. Here in Juli 2020 there are only a very few tourists in Platanias. In the two weeks we stayed at the hotel, there were only us and one other family of 3. Surrounding hotels are shut down. So we… more

We have had a Wonderfull stay at Proimos Maisonettes. The owner and staff are very welcoming and helpful. Here in Juli 2020 there are only a very few tourists in Platanias. In the two weeks we stayed at the hotel, there were only us and one other family of 3. Surrounding hotels are shut down. So we had the whole hotel and beach, almost for ourselves. An excellent base for trips around the island.

“A hidden paradise of calm at the end of Platanias ”

This small complex has limited rooms, so you need to book early. We stayed here 3 years ago and loved it, but have been too slow to get a room since. The covid 19 issues meant that there was ample room for us this year. The hotel was very empty, but there was the same friendly and professional serv… more

This small complex has limited rooms, so you need to book early. We stayed here 3 years ago and loved it, but have been too slow to get a room since. The covid 19 issues meant that there was ample room for us this year. The hotel was very empty, but there was the same friendly and professional service that we expect. Even when the hotel is full there are plenty of sunbeds and cosy places to sit in the shade or in the sun. The owner pops by every day and is always polite and helpful. The pool bar was only open until 4 this year, normally it is open until late, but we survived as the hotel is walking distance to great restaurants and bars. They have beach access, and sun beds there, but no sea view. The garden is well tended and there is a small play area for kids too. If you like small cosy hotels this is the place for you.
