Went with 3 of my friends. There was 4 of us in total and I was worried the room would not have enough space but there was plenty of room! We were very pleased. The location of the hotel is good especially because it was located near the strip and we wanted to go there most nights. Hotel staff were lovely and friendly. As long as you are respectful when you go in late and quiet for the other guests there is no issue. The pools are great and had a very fun trip. Thank you Yiannis Manos

“Amazing!!”

We had an amazing time in Crete. The staff were all so friendly and made us all feel welcome. The food and drinks were delicious. The room was basic but really clean. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed at Yannis Manos for one week, and I'd rate this hotel 4*. It's a lovely little complex that is very well maintained and kept spotlessly clean. The pool areas, gardens, and the hotel itself are immaculate. Located on the outskirts of Malia, it's far enough away from the hustle and bustle to enjoy some peace and quiet, yet close enough to comfortably walk into town. The staff are great, especially the team in the bar and restaurant. A special shout-out to Lindsey, Ellie, and Emma, who work incredibly hard while always keeping a smile on their faces. One thing I found a little cheeky was the cocktails. The menu lists premium brands such as Bacardi and Havana Club, but local equivalents are used instead. Now, the half-board system. I'd never experienced an à la carte half-board menu before, and I don't think I'm a fan. You're only allowed one main course per meal—no starter, dessert, or fruit. I found this quite unusual. Breakfast worked the same way: one item from the menu only, with no yoghurt, fruit, or buffet options. You're also limited to two cups of coffee, which unfortunately wasn't the best coffee either. It was a new experience for me, but I didn't particularly enjoy this style of half board. That said, the food itself was generally very nice, the portions were generous, and you get chips with almost every evening meal. The room was a good size, clean, and had a balcony overlooking the pool. There was also a kitchenette with some basic utensils, although it would have been a nice touch if the hotel had provided a few tea bags and coffee sachets. The second reason for the 4* rating is the bathroom. It was very small and quite dated, with an even smaller shower. The shower curtain constantly stuck to you while showering, which was frustrating. There was also no safe in the room, and air conditioning came at an additional cost, which I'm not sure I agree with. My room was cleaned every other day. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and felt it offered good value for money. However, if I'd paid significantly more for the holiday, my overall rating would probably have been slightly lower. That said, I'd definitely return if I found the right deal.
