“Incredible all rounder Chania experience”

Artemis village was the perfect all rounder. Beautiful setting, ambiance, properties cleaned everyday, stunning pool, incredible staff and even a shared washing machine to do your washing. Minutes from the serene Stavros beach and couple of local restaurants. Would definitely come back.

Beautiful apartments, perfect for a quiet family stay. The whole place feels very secluded and private and spotlessly clean. Great pool, which was also perfect for children. Huge thank you to all the staff especially Panos and Miranda who went out of their way to make the holiday so special for our small daughter. You can see why we met so many people who return year after year! Only tip would be to hire a car as there are only a few restaurants nearby (Zorbas and Irene’s are a highlight) so it’s good to have a car to explore a bit further afield on a longer stay.

Following a family recommendation, we booked Artemis at fairly short notice and are so glad we did. It didn’t disappoint. Everything was perfect and we cannot fault our holiday. Panos, Miranda and all the staff were so welcoming and lovely to us. Artemis Village is a very pretty, good quality and stylish complex with only 16 apartments so it feels small and intimate. We were a family of five but comfortably fitted into the apartment with our youngest (aged 9) on the sofa bed. The apartments are new and of a high quality, spotlessly clean. We didn’t expect cleaners to come in every day but they did and it was nice to have our apartment feel fresh and in order on a daily basis. The pool and surrounding sunbathing area and gardens are very well kept, clean and comfortable. We more or less had the pool to ourselves everyday as a family which was an unexpected bonus (it was only the start of the season in May half term). Food is served daily at the pool bar area until 4pm except at weekends, and it is very tasty and reasonably priced. There is a local supermarket about 10mins away and free bikes to use to pop down on if you wish. The nearest beach and restaurants are also just a 15/20 walk away and is is all very unspolit and authentically Greek. Zorba’s beach is a lovely bay area and the dramatic mountainside view is stunning. We enjoyed eating out here a few days and found a fabulous restaurant at the very top end of the bay which was delicious and a higher-end standard. We took a bus to Chania one day which is 40mins away and would highly recommend. It’s is a beautiful, historical city with lots to see and do. You may wish to hire a car if staying at Artemis as it is a quiet spot, this suited us and we just wanted a week to relax and you can get a bus to Chania but if you want to explore the island you’d def need to hire a car. Panos offered to help us with this so can easily book if required. We all loved this holiday and we had three children ranging aged 9,16,19. We are already planning to rebook for next year as we loved it so much.

We stayed at the Artemis for 4 nights to chill out after 10 days touring in the mountains. I don't know where to start with the review as the whole experience was exceptional. The apartments are superb, very comfortable and immaculate. A lot of thought has gone into the design. The pool and bar couldn't be any better and perfect for chilling. The food at the bar was very, very nice and the prices were surprisingly low. Finally, the staff... from the cleaners to Panos the manager and Miranda who runs the bar/cafe, they made you feel welcomed and valued. I really believe no one could give a review of less than 10/10. We can't recommend this hotel enough.
