I’m on my way to the airport and here is what I observed. You don’t need to read my review to know the place is gorgeous. You can clearly see that from all the photos. What I would like to point out and counter are some of the negative reviews I read which was not my experience at all. There was a review left here that stated that this place charges you for every little thing they can. That was simply not true for us. Upon our arrival the lovely gracious and kind owner Georgia treated us to what seemed like unlimited shots and a cocktail. Even before that the lovely receptionist allowed us to choose any room we wanted from the available rooms, even the ones that were more expensive than the one we paid for. I know quality hotel I’ve ever stayed by has done that for me. We were definitely not charged for every big called glass bottle of mineral water provided to us (and I hope I’m not getting the staff in trouble). As you know Mykonos, is expensive and if you do not know that by now you obviously have not done your research. It pretty much cost €50 more or less to get from anywhere to anywhere on the island in a private car. Do to our desire to see and experience the island firsthand without a glass window between us we decided one morning to treck the mountainous island all the way to town. Everyone including the super generous and caring staff were very surprised. They made sure we had enough water for our journey. Around halfway up the hill the masseuse who was driving to the town nearby named Ornos gave us a hitch. Once we were again walking and this time in Ornos one of the restaurant and bar managers from the hotel saw us, pulled over, literally turned around changing his direction and gave us a hitch all the way to Mykonos, town. When I checked out this morning I was expecting a huge tab for everything I consumed and all of the extra services provided for us during my stay but I was thoroughly surprised at how small the tab actually was. If I have not made it clear, that negative review left about this hotel charging you for every little thing was simply not our experience at all. Not to mention the discount provided to us by Nico the manager long before we booked. I’m sorry to have had to spend my time using this review to negate the false negative review instead of using my review to tell you about how gorgeous, luxurious and more than anything unique our experience was. You know what? There was something else. I read in a review that you could stay somewhere else or go to other beaches if you want to experience the nice beaches of the island. While that is true that there are various beautiful beaches on the island, I must say that I extremely enjoyed the private beach belonging to this hotel. It was so private that I was able to be there alone and naked which I didn’t find anywhere else on the island. Yes there are more expansive and sandy beaches but that’s not why you come to a hotel, to ‘never leave and see the rest of the beaches’, we were going to see the rest of the awesome party beaches regardless, what a convenience it was to have my own private quiet beach to myself. Oh yes, the saltwater pool. I don’t know about you but I strongly dislike chlorine in pools. It’s poison. The skin on your body is your body‘s biggest organ and it is extremely porous, I don’t know why anyone would want to swim in chlorine. This hotel makes the serious effort to circulate ocean water in and out of the pool so that you can actually swim in peace and comfort of mind in a clean non-wavy relaxing blue infinity pool. My only regret was not waking up early enough this morning before our flight to have another breakfast because everything that exits that kitchen is delicious. I guess I’ll have to come back. This hotel was clearly made by someone who appreciates the fine qualities of life.
