The hotel is beautiful, clean and the staff are just incredible. We did half board with breakfast and dinner. But next time we would do self catering as the restaurants in Fira square are incredible and the views just breathtaking. If you can get somewhere close in waking distance to the main square then it’s perfect as you will have everything on your door step. The best Italian voted in Santorini and it did not disappoint, it’s called Cacio Pepe. Santorini is the most beautifulest place I’ve ever visited and I can’t wait to go back

Staying here currently and booked on a whim through TUI holidays and my goodness what a hidden gem in the heart of FIRA. Not sure how this is an official rated 3* by TUI, however, it's one of the cleanest, spread out hotel with impeccable grounds and hotel rooms. Hotel reception also smells amazing… more

Staying here currently and booked on a whim through TUI holidays and my goodness what a hidden gem in the heart of FIRA. Not sure how this is an official rated 3* by TUI, however, it's one of the cleanest, spread out hotel with impeccable grounds and hotel rooms. Hotel reception also smells amazing and staff are so attentive. Drinks in hotel are typically much higher in price, but there is a huge supermarket a short 5-10 minute stroll from hotel. This hotel is also part of the same family and they also own ORAMA, this was also a contender but came in over a thousand pound more, so pleased we trusted out for and saved that on holiday spends, book it, you won't regret it. We stayed in rooms 20+ which o overlooks it's only pool with access to its own breakfast offering, which is lovely and peaceful ☺️

I’m sitting in reception waiting to check out and thought I’d leave this review. We have been at the El Greco for a week and it has been one of the best holidays we’ve had. The hotel is amazing! Everything about it is perfect. It’s so clean and modern, well laid out and well staffed. It’s low rise buildings and each block sits around its own pool. The pool was right outside our terrace. We were on the ground floor. We had two rooms and they were connected by a door which gave our daughters a bit of privacy but we generally had it opened right out. We had two bathrooms which was fantastic! The first morning we went for breakfast, it was at the main restaurant and was full and we were shown to another restaurant down beside the spa. It was exactly the same food but was much quieter and we went there every morning. Breakfast was quiet and relaxing and the food was much nicer than the usual fry up (you could get bacon, eggs etc though) There was a waitress constantly checking and mopping up spillages and drips. The pool bar is quite expensive for drinks and food and we only went once. A glass of Prosecco was 12€ which I thought was a lot. We bought wine at the supermarket five minutes away and stored it in our fridge. The hotel is so peaceful and relaxing. If you come out of the hotel, turn right and walk 5/10 minutes, you’ll find the centre of Fira. It’s buzzing at nights with loads of restaurants, bars and shops. The atmosphere is amazing. We also took the service bus to Oia and it was so easy to do. We simply loved this hotel and Santorini and will definitely return.

“A peaceful and attractive complex, but an unacceptable experience during my late check‑out”

The room itself was lovely — a nice shower, a small terrace leading straight onto the pool area, and staff who helped guide me through the multi‑level complex. The hotel has various terraces and pools spread across different levels, creating a very relaxed and peaceful atmosphere. The only downside to my original room was its location beneath one of the terraces. A family sat above me playing cards until 2 a.m., and every time they moved their chairs the scraping noise echoed directly through my ceiling. Not ideal when trying to sleep. Because I wasn’t collecting my patient until 5 p.m., I requested a late check‑out. I was told to check again in the morning, which I did. Unfortunately, I wasn’t allowed to stay in my room and was moved to a different one overlooking the car park. Had I been given that room for a normal stay, I would have been very disappointed. On the positive side, staff were generally very helpful. One evening they were struggling to change a beer barrel, and I sat chatting with them while they sorted it out. Because I’d been patient and friendly, they kindly gave me a second beer for free — a thoughtful gesture I really appreciated. What spoiled the stay was what happened the following day. I returned to my room around 3:30 p.m. to shower and get ready to go back to the hospital. As soon as I got in the shower, the phone rang. I got out to answer it, but it stopped. I got back in — it rang again. This happened repeatedly. Then there was a knock at the door; I got out of the shower again, but nobody was there. Back in the shower, the phone rang yet again. At this point it felt like harassment. When I eventually stepped out of the shower, with no clothes on, I found the maintenance team had forced entry into the room. I explained that I had already paid an additional €50 for late check‑out and would be leaving shortly. They told me this was all because I hadn’t answered the phone — which I explained was due to being in the shower. They left, but within minutes the phone started ringing again. I made it clear I was not happy: I had paid for late check‑out, I had already spoken to staff moments earlier, and the constant interruptions were unacceptable. I left the room and went straight to reception without saying a word. They could clearly see how unhappy I was. I travel abroad almost every day for work, and I have never been so harassed in a hotel before. It’s a real shame, because the complex itself is beautiful and the atmosphere is wonderful — but this experience overshadowed everything.
