Room type: suite with private pool Positives: pool aspect means sun all day. Sensational! Same for overall resort pool. Outstanding planning! Rooms are modern, spacious and clean Bed is incredibly comfortable Super friendly and helpful staff especially at breakfast and the bar. (Marios and Angela) Pool tunes pumped out all day long, absolutely banging dance music that creates an excellent vibe. No fear of discrimination. Inclusive and accepting environment. Surprise afternoon drag show as I was having a 4pm swim. Just fantastic! Needs improvement: No sun-beds around private pool. Only option: to lay on the floor. A premium suite with private pool and all that’s outside is two upright wooden chairs - the same as those in the restaurant? Madness. Needs loungers provided. Nowhere to hang wet swimwear to dry. I have never been on a holiday with no drying facility. Enough space outside, don’t understand this at all! The only hook for towels is IN the shower… that wasn’t thought through 🤣 These may all seem minor but when you pay top price for the most expensive room type you expect these standard provisions as without them it just doesn’t make sense. If these improvements are made this room would be perfection as this resort is sensational in so many ways.

Having never stayed at an Axel hotel before and not having heard great things about some of the other hotels, Axel Beach Mykonos exceeded my expectations. The room was excellent, with a very comfortable large bed, great facilities, and thoughtful extra touches. A bowl of fruit, a bottle of wine, and a welcome drink upon arrival were particularly nice gestures. The staff were fantastic. Angela, the duty manager, was very attentive, as were Marios, Amelia, Angela (the waitress, not the manager), and Agastolis. My only criticism was that the pool menu could have included more traditional Greek dishes.

Having never stayed at an Axel hotel before we weren’t sure what to expect, however we did not need to have any reservations whatsoever! Star of the show was Maria on reception, who welcomed us with open arms, and made us feel like old friends returning. The hotel is just outside of the old town (Chora) and about a 15-20 walk. We had booked a room with private pool but were given a pool suite which was lovely and spacious. Maria kindly let us check in early and gave us a quick tour of the hotel and our room, where there was a bottle of rose wine to welcome us! The room was spotlessly clean and included a well stocked mini bar, amenity kits etc. our room had a massive sofa as well as a private pool with two sun beds to relax The main pool is large with plenty of sun beds around which are really comfortable to spend your day soaking up the sun. The bar staff are attentive and will ensure you have your drinks replenished. We will 100% be back! Maria you are a superstar and thank you again for looking after us!

I was a solo traveler to this hotel and felt welcomed from the very start! The staff are incredible and do their job so well. My fear for the hotel and staff is the computer system for which is letting it down . The pool computer will not work with the main hotel computer so when you make a purchase at the pool the staff write it down on a piece of paper then get you to sign it then run it up to the reception. Now I know they have kind of fixed but it is still not operating correctly. This system is taking its toll on the incredible staff and in my opinion not trustworthy. Again in my opinion it needs a complete overhaul before the season really kicks in as the staff will not cope and customers will get upset at the time it takes for a transaction. When I checked out they had to tally up all these pieces of paper and the discrepancies to what I had paid for and not was huge. Please I urge the management to sort this issue before you loose the stars that run it . Angela you are amazing at what you do and I can't thank you enough.
