My wife and I had been planning to travel to Santorini for some time. This year we finally bit the bullet. The hotel is first rate from cleanliness to the wonderful staff, who couldn't do enough. After an ordeal trying to find the place, we were greeted by a sympathetic barman who came and brought us water, before taking us to reception. The reception staff are so wonderfully friendly. They even brought us a bottle of wine and a lovely note for our anniversary. Thank you for having us and providing a truly fantastic experience! The Hansons

“Amazing holiday! ”

We had a fabulous stay here. The hotel is spotless and the rooms are cleaned to a high standard every day. The huge bed was really comfortable and there was always plenty of hot water in the large shower room. We never had a problem getting one of the really comfortable sun-loungers around the pool. We stayed in room 98 which was on the top floor and we had a plunge jacuzzi on our balcony. The water was cold but the balcony was a sun trap in the later afternoon so we appreciated somewhere to cool off. Having read previous reviews on here I wasn’t expecting much from breakfast but it was fantastic! There was so much choice. Cereal, pasties, cakes, omelettes, fruit and yogurt, bread, continental style meats and cheeses as well as a selection of hot items. We certainly never went hungry! The pool bar was great with a great variety of drinks and snacks. Staff were always efficient and friendly. The location is perfect. Literally less than 30 seconds to several bars and restaurants but somehow you’re not aware of the noise and busyness once you’re inside hotel grounds. It’s a 5-10 minute stroll down to the beach and the many beachside tavernas and the bus stop is just outside the hotel so you can easily get to the rest of the island should you wish. On the last day we weren’t being picked up until 5 pm so we managed to get a room in the main hotel so we could shower etc. We paid an extra 40 euros. This room was also nice, it was smaller than in the suites and didn’t have the plunge pool but had a safe/fridge and a very good shower! There was a shower and a safe we could have used if we did not want to pay the extra for a room. 2 small suggestions I have to make minor improvements are that reclining chairs rather than deck chairs on the balcony would be nice and a soap dish by the sink would be useful. The only negative thing to say is that when we left the room in the main hotel to catch our flight (room 30) my husband left his earphones in the safe accidentally. He has emailed the hotel to see if there is a way of having them returned but we have not had a response. However, this didn’t affect our stay and we will definitely return to the Meltemi Excelsior Suites, we both agree it was the most relaxing holiday we’ve ever had.

Fantastic Hotel, spotless rooms, amazing shower/wet room facility, really comfortable bed, smart tv so could access Netflix/ youtube/ etc, added bonus of a jacuzzi on a ‘sun trap’ balcony, rooms cleaned everyday to a high standard and all towels and dressing gowns replaced, use of a smallish rectangular pool and sunbathing area on one side of the block of suites, then on the other side near reception and bar area a large pool great for swimming , really comfy sun loungers, breakfast was amazing, didn’t need anything else until night, top facilities in the dining area to prevent unnecessary queues such as at least 3 coffee machines etc, tables were well away from food stations so you didn’t feel you were on top of each other, the staff in the breakfast room and pool bar were amazing and quick and cleaning up finished plates/cups etc. Reception staff were amazing , in fact all staff were and so polite. Really lovely hotel, cannot fault it at all.

We went in August 2023! It’s taken me a long time to get around to writing this but I haven’t forgotten what an amazing time we had here. We had a room with its own private pool and this made our holiday even more special. We came for our honeymoon and I hope we get to come back. Our room was very clean, excellent air conditioning which was very needed! Helpful staff who were happy to recommend things to do and see while we were there. The only thing that let this hotel down was the gym (or lack thereof really) but the hotel arranged for us to use the gym at the sister hotel so if you like to workout on holiday then I would ask to visit the sister hotel. I honestly think this hotel is great value for money and we enjoyed being in a quieter part of the island. Although Oia is well worth a visit!
