Just another fabulous stay at our favorite cave house at the top of Valsamo! Our 3rd time staying here. This is not a modern opulent Santorini resort, overlooking the coast. This is a more rustic, old time Santorini experience. We love the vibe of staying here in the village and there's so much to see and do around Pyrgos. The island bus line is right at the bottom of the hill so for 2Euro you can go to Fira and for another 2Euro catch the next bus to the beautiful Oia. I must admit, as we are now into our upper 60's the knees don't like the climb to the top of the Valsamo complex as much, however, having a nice hot tub helps! For anyone who would like the experience of staying in an authentic, yet somewhat modern version of a Greek cave house, it's quite nice. Vivian is very helpful at arranging transfers and giving restaurant advice. The included breakfast a few steps away at Penelope's every morning has been upgraded quite a bit since our last stay and the young server there could not have been any nicer! Numerous wineries are within an hour's walk and there are numerous restaurants there on the hill with you, with Rita Bar at the top, open for only a month, our new favorite place. Great views, great food/drinks and the nicest people! As far as the accommodations, make sure to look at the pics online as each suite is different and a few have a staircase to climb up to your loft bedroom. It can be a little tricky without handrails! The pillows are the best they've ever been. The only drawback is the individual hot water tanks are not very big so showers can fall on the shorter rather than longer side, unless you prefer cooler showers. Still, we will be back!

My girlfriend and I stayed in Valsamo Suites "Honeymoon Suite," and we truly could not have asked for a better stay. Being a LGBTQ+ couple, we were a bit nervous about how we may be received but our host and his colleague were beyond welcoming. They truly went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfection. 10/10! We highly recommend this beautiful hotel.

“Amazing accommodation with spectacular views and good local restaurants ”

Amazing suites with best views. Lovely hot tub and spacious suites, we were in 2 suites during the stay and both were lovely. Staff really helpful and recommended some great places to visit away from some of the tourist buses.

We stayed in Valsamo suites whilst on Santorini for a few days for a wedding and from the moment we arrived in greeted by the lovely Alex we just had the most incredible time. We were in the Bakaliko Superior Suite which is an old converted shop. It has been wonderfully renovated with a mezzanine bedroom over the lounge and another small cave bedroom and beautiful cave bathroom off to the side. The Aircon was very welcome as was the nespresso machine. Set in the heart of Pyrgos we were close to all the attractions and restaurants and we really couldn’t have wished for a more amazing place. We will definitely be returning and are so grateful to Christos for supporting us through the planning of our stay and to Alex for all his help whilst we were here answering questions and booking taxis.
