We recently stayed at this hotel with our family and overall had a really enjoyable experience. We stayed in a family suite which was very spacious and ideal for travelling with children. The bed was extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean, and having the extra space made our stay much more relaxing. One thing we really appreciated was the good variety of food options available throughout the day. There was always something available, making things easy and convenient for our family schedule. The hotel grounds and service were also very convenient. The buggy transport to and from our room, including help with luggage, was a great touch and made getting around the site much easier, especially with children and bags. The kids’ swimming pool was excellent — having it under shade was a huge positive in warmer weather, and the two different depth levels made it suitable for children of different ages. We also liked that there were multiple bars around the resort with plenty of staff, meaning there was rarely any waiting or long queues. HV Diner was another highlight. The portions were absolutely massive and the quality of the food was excellent. Service can be a little slow when dining with a toddler, but seeing the food being freshly cooked in front of you made it completely understandable and definitely worth the wait — 10/10 for quality. A very special mention goes to Irene, the manager, who was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. She really went above and beyond, especially arranging transport with a baby seat, helping with our luggage, and personally seeing us off when we left. That level of kindness and personal attention made us feel genuinely cared for and added a very warm touch to our stay. The only downside during our visit involved one member of the lifeguard team around the children’s pool area. While we fully understand that safety rules need to be enforced, some interactions felt unnecessarily strict, such as repeatedly blowing the whistle at children jumping into an empty pool and telling toddlers not to climb on the metal bar in the kiddie pool area. We also noticed personal items including a phone, tobacco, lighter, car keys, and other belongings left unattended on a table beside the children’s pool, which felt like a potential safety concern in an area used by young children. Overall though, this was a great family holiday with many positives, and we would happily return and recommend it to other families looking for a comfortable and welcoming stay.
