Blue domes, what can I say, we have just returned home from our visit to Blue domes in Kos. It truly is a 5* resort. Very short distance from the airport, which in its self is worth its weight in gold. From the moment we arrived we were treated so well by everyone we met. Big shout out to Maria at the pool bar, making us fabulous cocktails and delivering them personally to our sun beds, you couldn’t ask for more, she was so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. She works extremely hard to ensure everyone gets the VIP treatment. The pool bar just wouldn’t be the same without her. Only thing I can say that would improve this bar if it was adult only, there are plenty of pool for the children, even one with sand so the kids feel like they are on the beach. A adult only pool area and bar would be a real bonus. Pools and pool areas are immaculately clean, with hard working staff keeping it that way, lots of sun beds and plenty of shade especially needed for the mid day sun ☀️ Large selection of restaurants to choose from, buffet, snack bars to the 7 à la carte all the food we had the pleasure of trying was amazing, the chefs all work hard to ensure the food is the best it can be. Plenty of snack bars situated around the complex so easy to just grab and go, if not wanting to interrupt the sunbathing by going to the restaurant. A lovely pebble beach is attached to the complex, the sea was warm and clear with fish visible even in the shallow waters. Lovely for the kids to watch (even the big kids 🤣) plenty of sun beds and shade available, beach bar offering refreshing drinks from 10am, cocktails went down Particularly well 😜would highly recommend I’m already looking to book for our next stay.

“Amazing 1st time visit”

“Comfort and relaxation in a beautiful place”

We stayed at this lovely hotel for three weeks in May 2026. Our bungalow was spacious and cleaned thorougly daily. There was plenty of shelf space in the room itself, though we struggled a bit to fit all of our clothes into the two wardrobes. Since we were staying for quite some time we had brought a lot of cloths. We would have appreciated a bit more closet space. The bathroom had a proper door (unlike what we’ve experienced in other hotels and their horrible swing door solutions), and the toilet was even separated by an additional glass door. There was both a shower and a bathtub. Excellent! The veranda was large and offered a lovely view of the well-maintained grounds. We stayed in bungalow 338, which I felt was perfectly situated in terms of distance to all the facilities. The food at all the restaurants was truly delicious. We had fully booked the specialty restaurants for dinner, so we only ate in the main restaurant on two or three evenings. We mostly visited the main restaurant for breakfast and lunch. We enjoyed the food every time, and there wasn't a single thing we could fault. Everything was fresh and good, and I ate so much that I gained three kilos. At least! The staff were very friendly and attentive. The main restaurant struggled at times to handle the large number of guests in the morning, yet we still got coffee (the most important thing) relatively quickly after being seated. I loved the pools as it was way to cold for me to swim in the sea. The pools were just great. There was just one thing I would love to be improved: it's the reservation of the sunbeds. I went to swim after breakfast and already most, if not all of the sunbeds were reserved with towels. At least for the time I spent swimming, a lot of them were still reserved but nobody there to claim them when I left. I wish the towels were removed from time to time, but I never saw this happen. The staff were accommodating at all times and went above and beyond to make the guests' stay as pleasant as possible. Nothing was ever too much trouble. I would like to give a special mention to Stam, who was simply delightful. Right at the start of our holiday, we took part in the wine tasting offered by the hotel. Stam created such a happy and relaxed atmosphere that we spent a really fun afternoon there. I would highly recommend that every guest give it a try! It was an afternoon well spent! Later in the week, Stam helped us resolve an issue, saving us a trip to the reception. That was truly great. And you could see her darting around everywhere. If there was a queue at breakfast, she would bring plates of snacks to the children to help aleviate the wait. She helped out at the Greek Street Food spot on the beach at lunchtime. She threw my husband an impromptu birthday serenade with others staff at breakfast (and the kitchen prepared a slice of cake with a candle, it was really cute). Sometimes I wondered if Stam had been cloned, because she was EVERYWHERE, looking after the guests with genuine warmth, smiles and great effort for their comfort. I also want to mention Maria and her colleague (whose name I unfortunately don't know) at the Garden Pool Bar. No matter how busy it was, we were always greeted with such a merriment and laughs, we felt immediately welcome and in good hands. The staff at Mitsis Blue Domes are absolutely top-notch. So for us, they earn the hotel the sixth of five stars! We would love to come back and love to spent a long time again at this hotel. I've probably forgotten half of what I wanted to write, but I mentioned the most important for us.

We recently stayed at Mitsis Blue Domes and overall had a lovely, relaxing holiday. The resort has a lot going for it, particularly if you’re looking to unwind rather than pack your days with activities. What we liked: Our room was a good size and in a great location. We had a sea view room with a terrace, which came with sunbeds outside. While the sea view itself wasn’t particularly impressive (being on the ground floor), having our own outdoor space with sunbeds was a nice touch. The resort has plenty of pools, and we never struggled to find sunbeds, which was refreshing compared to many all-inclusive resorts. We even requested two extra sunbeds outside our room so our friends could join us, and they arrived within an hour – excellent service on that occasion. Food quality was generally very good, with the brunch restaurant and Tex-Mex being particular highlights. The cocktails were also excellent (although they were at times more ice than drink), and the minibar was restocked daily. Overall, there was a good variety of food and drink available throughout the day. I also want to give a special mention to the lady who looked after the dining area near the pizza oven in the main restaurant. She was always incredibly friendly, welcoming and attentive, and looked after us really well whenever we sat in her section. She stood out as one of the best examples of customer service we experienced during our stay. What could be improved: Unfortunately, in general the service was the biggest disappointment during our stay. Staff were always friendly, but they often seemed overstretched and unable to keep up with demand. We experienced long waits at bars and some food outlets, and on four separate occasions drinks ordered at the buffet restaurant were simply forgotten. There were also a few service issues at the à la carte restaurants. Our starter was forgotten at the Italian restaurant, and at the South American restaurant we waited a long time before anyone even brought us menus. On arrival, our room wasn’t quite up to the standard we expected. Our complimentary welcome gift was missing and there were half-drunk bottles of wine left in the minibar from previous guests. A few other minor points: the table tennis table is positioned in a very windy area, there aren’t many shaded spots around the pools, and the pool umbrellas are fixed in place so can’t be adjusted throughout the day. We stayed on the ground floor and could hear a lot of noise from the room above each morning, suggesting soundproofing between floors could be better. We were also surprised by the lack of daytime activities. There didn’t seem to be much of a recreation or entertainment team presence around the resort, and organised activities were fairly limited compared to other all-inclusive resorts we’ve visited. This wasn’t a problem for us as we were looking for a relaxing break, but guests who enjoy pool games, sports activities or a busier entertainment programme may be disappointed. Useful tips: * We hired a car during our stay and found it much cheaper outside the hotel. Walk down to the beach, turn right towards Kardamena, and there’s a car hire company next to the small supermarket. * Kardamena is around an hour’s walk from the hotel. * If you’re exploring the island, we’d recommend visiting Kos Town, Plaka and Kefalos. Overall: Despite some frustrating service issues, we still enjoyed our holiday thanks to the excellent facilities, good food and relaxed atmosphere. However, the service was probably the weakest we’ve experienced on a holiday, simply because staff appeared too busy to provide consistent attention. I’d recommend Mitsis Blue Domes for couples or families looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway. If you’re looking for lots of activities and highly attentive service, you may find it falls short of expectations.
