What a lovely place to stay. Clean, tidy, good location too. Will defo be back. We are here a week, 2nd May. The manager ( two coats tony) is very friendly. A must stay place.

My wife and I stayed for a week at the Kamari Bay Hotel. Its like stepping back in time when walking into this place. It looks a bit dated. Décor and furniture is dark wood. No air-con in the main bar or lounge area, or dining room, so it can get a bit stuffy. The hotel is in a great location, just a few minutes walk to the beach, bars and restaurants. It also has a large pool and sun bed area. The pool temperature was okay during our stay. I counted fifty sunbeds, all getting full sun during the day. The pool bar serves a good selection of drinks and snacks at very reasonable prices. There’s also a shaded seating area. There’s no music playing around the pool, which was fine for us, it was quite relaxing. Unfortunately, the pool area did look a little tired, with some floor tiles showing poor maintenance, some were broken which exposed sharp edges. One in particular at the shallow end by the steps. Wi-Fi is free but can drop out occasionally if you’re out of range from a router. Rooms are basic, with a fridge, but no kettle. The air-con was very good during our stay. It runs very quietly so didn’t disturb our sleep at all. Air-con is chargeable at fifty Euros per week. There’s also a safe in the room which is also chargeable, but we managed without it. Our room was cleaned daily, except for Sunday, towels are changed every three days (twice during our week’s stay). Rooms on the ground floor near to the bar (including ours) do suffer from noise from the bar late at night. There’s a door at the end of the corridor which would help to reduce the noise, but during our stay, this was often left open, so disturbed our sleep somewhat. But it’s fair to say not every night was noisy and is mostly just general chat and occasional laughter sometimes into the early hours. Breakfast was the most basic we’ve ever seen. We knew it was basic at the time of booking our holiday, but we were still surprised by what was on offer … Bread, Ham, Cheese, boiled eggs, Cake, cornflakes, Yogurt and jam. There was no toaster! Tea, coffee and orange juice was also available. We tried various restaurants during our week’s stay, and would recommend Argo Restaurant overlooking the sea front (3 minutes walk), Scorpios restaurant on the main road (10 minutes walk). We also tried Galini restaurant twice which is located next to the hotel, but do be aware you may get bitten by mosquitoes, as this restaurant is covered in vines, but the meal portions are good at reasonable prices, as are the other two restaurants mentioned. Overall we had a pleasant stay, with the hotel’s location being the main reason we stayed here.
