We had a wonderful stay at Akti Coast Club in July 2025 and overall it was an amazing holiday experience for our family. From the moment we arrived, the resort impressed us with how clean, spacious and well-organised everything was. The entire resort is spotless, and all of the pools were exceptionally clean and well maintained, which really added to our peace of mind while staying with a child. A special mention absolutely has to go to the entertainment team – they were truly outstanding. Full of energy, friendly, professional and always smiling, they created such a fun and welcoming atmosphere throughout the day and evening. They made a huge difference to our holiday and kept both kids and adults entertained with great activities and shows. The food was another big highlight. There was a good variety available and it was very good at any time of day, whether breakfast, lunch, dinner or snacks. There was always something tasty and fresh to enjoy, and the quality was consistently high. We stayed in a swim-up family room, which was very nice and comfortable – perfect for families and a great feature of the hotel. However, for a 4-star resort, the bathroom could have been cleaner, and during our stay, the shower gel and shampoo were never checked or refilled, which was a bit disappointing and something that should be improved. One thing to note for families with young children: while the kids pool itself was very clean, the underwater floor is quite rough, almost like sandpaper. While going down the slide our daughter grazed her knee and my husband grazed his shin while playing with her. Overall, Akti Coast Club is a fantastic family-friendly resort with really good food, outstanding entertainment and a very clean environment. With a bit more attention to room bathroom details and safety in the kids’ pool, it would be even better. We still had a brilliant holiday and would happily recommend it, especially to families looking for fun, relaxation and great service.

Total pampering was experienced during our stay with two children. Our two boys were entertained very well by the animation team at Akti Coast, while peace and quiet were enjoyed by us at the pool. Something for every taste was offered at the buffet. The short walking distances within the resort were found to be especially practical. A wonderful place is provided here for a family holiday!

“A Truly Wonderful Hotel Experience”

An email regarding my restrictions was sent, and the best room featuring a shared pool was assigned to us. The rooms are spacious, clean, and brilliant. Fantastic choices for food were found! A return visit is being planned by us very shortly.

This hotel has potential to be another great hotel in the Akti group. This hotel was purchased as a tired, rundown hotel and has had major improvements done to it over the winter and pre-season. There are still things to do due to time and money limitations. Yet, what you see today is amazing. The lush gardens and landscaping, particularly surrounding a section of the shared pools, makes the hotel feel like a park, offering that welcome shade in the hot sun. There are three large pools, which have ample sunbeds and shades to cater for every guest with ease. For beach lovers, sunbeds and shades are available on the sandy beach just outside the hotel across a small road. A polite, friendly check in awaits your arrival. Just a brief wait for the buggy and we were in our room. We’d booked a ground floor family room with shared pool, which for us was definitely worth the extra money to upgrade. Spotlessly clean on arrival and kept that way by the daily maid service. There is always a warm welcome in the Lobby bar by reception (open 16 hours a day). This is a great place to relax over an excellent coffee or try the cocktails from the range on offer. The main bar is by the restaurant, this opens in the evening and has a more lively atmosphere, with music and the place for a game of pool. The pool bar open from 10.00am till midnight. A pop up bar opens during show time at the amphitheatre. Don't expect accuracy in quantities in drinks. Some barmen are heavy handed, some are light. The quality also seems to vary with each bar, some wines are excellent and some are just drinkable. You also have different glasses per bar, most serving in plastic or paper cups due to health and safety. Food is served at 2 locations during the day and 3 locations in the evening. The main restaurant offers breakfast buffet selection from 6.00am (continental) with a hot food service from 7.00am (American), till 10.30. Food moves to the snack bar and a limited choice of hot snacks and some salad are on offer. As the 12.00 lunch service commences, a few more choices are added. At 6.30 the restaurant opens for dinner till 10.30 when night time snacks take over (11.00pm till 12 crepes). I have to mention that the restaurant gets very busy after 15 minutes of opening. The food begins to run out and a wait for replenishment is suffered. You may also have to struggle to find a clean table as staffing levels are a problem for most hotels in Greece. Food choice is always a matter of personal preference. A good choice (not excellent choice) of salads, breads and hot foods, you can eat differently every day on a 2 week holiday. Food is tasty, but like any buffet restaurants, timing is essential. The 2 a la carte restaurants made an excellent change from the buffet. Entertainment is supplied by a very energetic and enthusiastic Animation team of 8. A good variety of sport and fitness programmes are on offer during the day, centred around the main pool. but no pressure to join in. However, if you like a more relaxing atmosphere you can use the “Quiet Pool” as this is furthest away from the music and animators. Evening entertainment is on offer 7 days a week, sometimes by the main pool or in the amphitheatre The staff overall are cheerful, enthusiastic and proficient, even if they are kept very busy. I did notice a lack of uniform and name badges. It was very difficult to identify supervisory staff and to identify individuals for praise. Overall the hotel is clean and reasonably well maintained. However, some of the path lights are out of action. It was mentioned to the reception but by the end of the week, the lights were still unfixed.
