Believe the wonderful reviews - this hotel is fantastic. From the moment we arrived we were given a warm welcome by Dimitri, and as we had arrived after midnight there was even a food bag for us waiting with a delicious baguette, juicy peach and water. Our room (junior suite) was massive and had an amazing view of the pool and the nearby salt lake. The sun rise each morning was gorgeous. The rooms have all been recently refurbished and are really nicely decorated in zesty orange and lime - bed is huge and comfy, big walk in shower, own fridge as well as a good size TV (has about 9 channels, a few are English language). The mirror in the bathroom was great, a smart mirror so can light up, get rid of steam quickly etc. Big size balcony too. You pay for air conditioning but it's not expensive and well worth it - the air conditioning unit is not loud and can adjust the temperature so was perfect. We slept great. Towels and bedding is changed every 3 days but the room is cleaned daily. On to the food, which is truly brilliant. Mama Clairy makes all the food herself, including her amazing jams and marmalades at breakfast (we asked if we could buy one of her special ones to take home and she kindly made us up a jar free of charge - she could definitely sell these!). As half board you get a continental buffet breakfast - this comprises of hard boiled eggs, various rolls, the most amazing greek yoghurt, Mama Clairy's jams/marmalades (6 diff varieties and all delicious), cheeses, meats, fresh fruit, cereals, coffee, teas and apple/orange juice. There is a menu however if you would prefer to pay for something hot like eggs, omelettes etc. We had lunch several times from this menu and it's extensive - so much to choose from and all cooked by Mama Clairy. The chicken gyros was sublime, in fact everything we ordered was. Huge portions too! Dinner is the star of the show as Mama Clairy serves up a different set menu every night of 3 courses (as well as their being a salad bar with olives, tzatsiki, dolmades etc). I can hand on my heart say that this Greek dinner menu is fantastic - it's table service too. We usually try and go out to a restaurant at least one or two nights for dinner when we go to a hotel but we opted not too as the food was as good if not better in Bouradanis. Everything seasoned perfectly too. Vasillis, Mama Clairy's husband, is in charge of the BBQ on Sunday to allow Clairy the evening off from cooking. The pork belly was delicious. Drinks wise, there is a good amount of choice and a well stocked bar - there is regular cocktails, beer, spirits etc as well as soft juice. But they are also currently doing a special movie themed cocktail menu this Summer and we tried a few - all delicous and reasonably priced. I recommend the "Grease" which is like a pink Pina Colada and very nice. Also all really nicely garnished. The bar is mostly tended by Dimitri and his lovely fiancée Marilyn who make the amazing drinks. The pool is a good size and very clean, plenty of sunbeds - don't panic if you think there won't be enough as there is. Zero sun bed wars and we never had any problem getting them, most guests tend to explore the island so there's always beds. It's a relaxing pool with chill music playing all day. A couple of times a day the family's utterly adorable tiny dog will do it's exploration around the pool area - and there are several local cats which the family help take care of and feed. These cats are lovely and friendly too. What I loved was the swallows who will fly down and take a sip from the pool, so lovely seeing them swoop down. Location wise, the hotel is surrounded by fields and the local salt lake. It's incredibly relaxing with the sound of bird song and crickets. There are two small shops about 10 mins walk away where you can get most things like juice, crisps, etc etc and it's about a 15 mins walk to the sandy beach where you can rent a couple of comfy sunbeds for the day, ten euro for two people. I recommend strolling along to watch the sunset too as it's beautiful. Marmaris is about a 30 mins walk in that direction, with more shops/tavernas etc and in the other direction, walking along the salt lake, is Tigaki which is also about a 30 mins walk. Lots of gift shops etc. There is a bus stop just a 5 mins walk away from hotel outside the Go Karting and bus is quite regular into either of these two towns or we went into Kos town which is about a 25 min ride away. Bus is £2.50 for a single ticket and you pay on the bus. There is a schedule in the hotel at reception as well as car hire etc. The other son runs events such as beach parties and you can get the schedule from reception and book these if you fancy. There's no entertainment at the hotel and we preferred this - there's good music playing all day and it's just a relaxing vibe. Adults only hotel too (think it's maybe 13/14 or above) so no shouting children - perfect for us! It all feels very safe too. There's local horse riding and you'll see them all ride along by the salt lake. If you want a proper relaxing holiday with amazing food and a warm service, then I very much recommend you book here!

Very warm-hearted family runs this newly renovated hotel. Rooms are spacious and clean, beds very good, athmosphere calm allover the hotel. Clean pool, where wasn’t too much people. Breakfast buffet, lunch from the menu and three-course dinner is table served in portions. All dishes are same for everyone, allergies/beliefs taken care of. And everything we had was so delicious! If you’re looking for a relaxing holiday, this easygoing family takes truly care of it. ❤️ Not for people who are looking for a wild nightlife 😅

Hotel is family run and you can tell by the minute you walk through the door that the service is second you none. We arrived after midnight but a meal had been prepared for us. Dimitris helped us up to our room with the luggage and with a smile. The room had a very comfortable bed, dressing table/ desk. Hanging space and shelves for clothes etc, a balcony and a lovely bathroom with large heated mirror and a double head shower. Bedding and towels are charged every 3 days but the room is cleaned and serviced every day. Visiting greeted us every morning with a smile whilst his wife Clarey was busy. Man's their other son always had a smile as did Marilyn Demetris's fiancee who was usually serving at the bar. Just a fabulous proper family run hotel. Others worked there who I don't know all their names but all equally added to the experience. Cllairy cooked the most amazing meals and if she knows you can't est a certain item she goes out her way to make you something different. The whole atmosphere is full of fun and laughter. The pool is spotless, like the rest of the hotel. We arrived as guests and came away feeling part of their family. Nothing is too much trouble. Anything asked of any one of them is immediately dealt with, whether that is booking a trip, ordering a drink or wanting the latest recipe. Book this hotel and you won't be disappointed. We can't wait to return.

This hotel is on another level! The Bouredanis Art Hotel in Marmari, Kos is a little up from Tangaki and a lovely hidden gem away from the crowds. It’s an adults only hotel and only has 22 rooms but believe me that it’s not a drawback, in fact quite the opposite. From the minute you arrive you’re treated not like guests but like you’ve been a part of their family for years. We went Half Board. The breakfast was fruits, home made jams and marmalades along with a local yoghurt that’s made especially for the hotel.Bread rolls with a variety of meats and cheese, apple/orange juices, a variety of teas and coffee and of course corn flakes and other cereals. There is a chargeable menu just in case you didn’t want any of that and I can recommend the omelettes with added bacon, cheese and mushrooms. The evening meal though is where the food gets even better. It’s not a buffet but a set menu and the quality was absolutely top drawer. Every meal being made by Mama Clairy and no two nights were the same. Everything cooked with love and passion. The whole family, Visillis, Clairy, Dimitris, Manos and Marillyn were all so friendly that we really didn’t want to leave. The room was very modern and clean. Huge shower for showering alone or with your partner was great with both a waterfall head and a hand held shower for those hard to get to areas. Overall a solid 10+ out of 5 as it really is that good. The whole atmosphere of the hotel reflected the family as a whole and how much they really enjoy what they do. The other thing we noticed was the sound insulation on the rooms was excellent and rarely could we hear anything from outside or the adjoining rooms and even though there was music always playing in the bar/pool area, it was never imposing and covered for all music tastes.
