Stayed at Fili apartments for 2 weeks and absolutely loved it. The staff were brilliant and so family oriented. Booked half board and loved all the meals I had. Great choice of breakfast and evening meal and beautifully cooked. It is in a quiet area but I love walking so was happy to walk the 30 mins to the village or 5 mins to the beach. Regular buses to Kos Town which is so pretty. I'd definitely recommend Fili apartments if you want a relaxing holiday.

The most beautiful beach is a 2 minute walk away and can be seen from some of the balconies. A Mountain View to the rear of the hotel is just as amazing. The most beautiful beach is a 2 minute walk away and can be seen from some of the balconies. A Mountain View to the rear of the hotel is just as amazing. Location wise, it’s a 10 minute walk to a mini market which is ideal for self catering. Tigkaki is realistically a 25-30 minute walk away. We walked several times in the day but had to stop off for a beer at a bar on the way as it was so hot. I’d suggest getting the bus back in the evening or hiring bikes from the hotel as the road is poorly lit….. although the locals drive around you very slowly, it was daunting with a 13 year old it tow. Kos town is easily accessible with regular buses that only take 20 minutes or so. The bus stop is at the bottom of the Fili drive, so again perfect. From Kos town you can get a ferry over to Bodrum for around 30 Euros per person. This can be booked in advance too as the tickets sell out quickly. The hotel itself has basic rooms but the pool, bar and family that own it are amazing!! We stayed by the pool 3-4 days and ate at the hotel nearly every night. The family are so welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. There were several families there at the time that had returned year after year purely for the hospitality and laid back atmosphere. To top it off, they hold a weekly Greek BBQ with dancers for entertainment. Everyone was up dancing, laughing and drinking schnapps. This was a perfect end to a fab holiday. We were genuinely sad to leave. If possibly, we will definitely return.

“Just tolerable.”

Location ok if your happy to hire a car. The views from the balconies would be amazing if they cut the tops out of the massive trees you would have had a sea view, such a shame. The shower was awful, either scalding hot or freezing cold, the mixer wasn't doing its job, pretty dangerous especially … more

Location ok if your happy to hire a car. The views from the balconies would be amazing if they cut the tops out of the massive trees you would have had a sea view, such a shame. The shower was awful, either scalding hot or freezing cold, the mixer wasn't doing its job, pretty dangerous especially for children. The staff were lovely, the bar and pool areas very nice but the rooms are very dated. The sofa bed was so old if you sat in the wrong place your knees touched your chin it was old and nackered you sank and the wooden frame hurt. Would we go again? Definitely not.

“A bit disappointing but made the most of it.”

We were really looking forward to staying here but certain niggles left us a little disappointed. Firstly the positives - Close to a lovely quiet part of the beach. Easy distance to Kos Town where you can get great three island boat trips. Easy driving distance of a large Lidl, Konstantinos supermarket, the airport and loads of good restaurants. Very clean apartments inside and out. Very laid back atmosphere. Nice bar area to sit for a drink. Good air con (€7 a day to pay upfront). Negatives - Can’t get a steady temperature of the shower. This led to dangerously fluctuating shower temperature from scolding to freezing (when you’re not touching the taps!). Spoke to staff and was told to turn the taps! Even the minutest turn made no difference. They said they hadn’t had anyone complain of this before and couldn’t do anything about it, yet I’ve read it on here from at least one other person. Most sun loungers are cracked in several places. There are two types of mattresses for the loungers. Once the new ones have run out (not many of them unless you get here early), the cotton type ones are just disgusting. Imagine hot, sweaty people covered in sun cream lying on these, then all they do is get piled up for using the next day. They looked like they’d never seen a washing machine, but not sure how they’d wash them. So unhygienic. Rock hard bed mattresses that gave us very stiff necks and quite disruptive sleep. Hotel at the back play very loud music til late at night, so if you’re unlucky enough to be near that you’ll need ear plugs. Lots of ants in the room, so we kept what we could in the fridge. This could be a really lovely place with a little money spent on it.
