Jonathen Hotel this place is absolutely amazing. It is about a 15-minute walk to the main strip but there are eateries and bars within a 5-minute walk. The rooms are a bit dated but clean and well maintained with free air conditioning and a safe, Katerina and Milos who run the resort work none stop to provide the best service I have had for a long time and are always on hand to assist. The shower was always hot and worked well. The owner Chrissy runs the bar an makes the food, this is reasonably priced and very good. The pool and gardens are well presented with ample sunbeds and piece and quite. The beach is just across the road gets busy at the weekend. Will I return yes without a doubt just a shame you can only book through TUI.

My husband & I stayed at these lovely apartments for 2 weeks at the end of May 2026. It was our first stay but not our first visit to Tigaki. We arrived late in the evening and although there was no-one on site, there was a notice board directing us to our room. We were surprised at how spacious the double room was. We stayed in room 8 and so can only give feedback on what we experienced. The room had a massive bed which was firm but that's what we prefer, the pillows were soft and fluffy- perfect! There was a toaster, coffee machine, microwave, fridge and sufficient crockery etc for simple catering. All very clean. There was a plug in hotplate but we had no need of this. The bathroom was also very clean with a shower tray and curtain, well lit mirror and plenty of clean fresh towels, these were replaced daily. The aircon and safe were included in the holiday cost so a considerable saving. The aircon was nice and quiet unlike some we have had in the past. Big wardrobe with loads of coat hangers and a massive mirror! Wall mounted hairdryer too- actually by the mirror- not always the case! The apartment was cleaned everyday except Sunday by Katerina and Milos who did a great job. There is a lovely pool area with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas. No loud music and so peaceful. The beach is just across the road and is sandy and a shallow walk into the water. i used beach shoes but I'm a bit of a wimp. There is a small bar at the pool which is open until 8pm offering a range of snacks, the breakfast is 12 euros and offers a full English ( Greek style) or continental. I went for the continental thinking that it would be a smaller option...WRONG! Lovely fresh fruit and Greek yogurt with honey, toastie and omelette then cake, juice and coffee. Stuffed! We also tried the pizza at lunch time and were not disappointed. Good range of soft and alcoholic drinks too plus some ice creams. The owner Chrissy was very welcoming and helpful too. Some points which we would have liked to have known before we travelled: Hair dryer in the room No book swap but there were plenty of places in town that you could use and people around the pool were happy to swap. Local bus stop directly outside the apartments - 2.5 euros into kos Town- get there a little before the advertised time as it is only an indication of the timetable! The bus gets very full and so you may not get a seat. We travelled back by taxi 19 euros. The walk into town is flat and mainly pavement but all well lit. We ate at a variety of places, our favourite was Mylos but they were all good- not a disappointing meal anywhere. We were spending around 45-50 euros for 2 starters, 2 mains and drinks. If you like a cocktail, Mascotte and Karma bar were our favourites. Karma bar is cheaper and the staff are lovely. For sports fans, we used the Rendezvous bar- a little further up the main strip but welcoming and fun. Mascotte bar had live music on a Monday but this was the only place we saw, maybe it was too early in the season to make it worthwhile? In all- we loved the apartments, the staff were so friendly and helpful, we will defiantly be back. Thank you Chrissy, Katerina & Milos for a wonderful stay!

“Fab location, brilliant hosts”

Host Katerina and the other staff (sorry did not catch their names as I was way too relaxed haha) were so warm and welcoming from the moment I arrived which is very important for me as a solo traveller. Host Katerina and the other staff (sorry did not catch their names as I was way too relaxed haha) were so warm and welcoming from the moment I arrived which is very important for me as a solo traveller. Only stayed for 4 nights but will definitely be back for a longer stay. Location is Excellent opposite a beautiful white sandy beach with the most stunning sunset views. Just 5 mins to supermarket for essential groceries. 15 minute walk to main bars/restaurants/shops. 10 min walk to a couple of decent restaurants nearby. Bus stop outside takes you to Kos town for 2.5 euro there is a timetable on the stop and was reliable. I would recommend an organised bus trip up to Zia (mountain village with some of the most impressive sunset views in have seen) Plenty of sunlongers at the pool with drinks available at the bar. Rooms were basic and clean exactly what you need on a Greek holiday. I feel really lucky to have found this Gem of a place with a real family run vibe. Tingaki is the perfect laid back get away.
