The whole complex of apartments was booked for a week long yoga retreat. I can only speak for myself, but I had a marvellous time. The rooms were clean & beautiful, & the staff (a family run business) were beyond accommodating, polite & friendly. They have a restaurant attached with delicious & reasonably priced food. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking & would certainly visit again.

This little jewel is a real find. We were at a week long yoga retreat here and loved it! The place is named after the owners daughter. The whole family works there and everyone really cares that you have a good time. The food was quite good. Local food served up on an open air patio or inside if you like. Seemed like the local Greeks knew the place as well. Lots of friendly banter, songs and dancing. The beach is about 50 steps away and the offer bar and resturant service at the beach as well. The rooms are clean with patios bathed in sunshine. Good care taken with the grounds, rooms and at the resturant add up to a must stay.

Absolutely delightful accommodation, right on the beach at Platis Gialos. While by world standards this is a 5 star hotel, by island standards, it most definitely is. The rooms were attractive, clean and well maintained. My room was cleaned first thing everyday, which I welcome, but frequently isn't the case. The entire village is welcoming and pleasant. The restaurant next door is owned by the same family, and can be considered part of the hotel, so will work with guests to meet their needs- breakfast is not normally served, but it was provided to my group

This is probably one of the most difficult reviews I have had to write and the reason is that I am really struggling to make my mind up about this place. This is why: This complex of apartments is new, well-kept and very clean. The common areas are beautiful, which predisposes you to a very nice stay when you arrive. The apartments are very large, very well-equipped (perhaps the bathrooms on the smallish side and showers are completely open but hey, this IS summer), the welcome is friendly. It is next door to the family's well-run taverna, which is very convenient (although noise could be an issue on some nights). Its location is also very good, a 1' walk from the beach. We also found the pricing to be slightly on the upper end (which is true of most of Sifnos), but still reasonable given that there were 3 of us. Based on this, our rating should have been higher. However, there were two things that really spoilt the experience for us: Firstly, the owner demanded that we pre-pay the whole weekend, even though the law only requires a 50% down payment. While I know that in today's culture, where most reservations are made through various booking sites, this is not so unusual, I found extremely annoying that it should happen on a small Greek island. Pardon me for being conservative and harking back to the good old days of Greek hospitality, but demanding the whole amount beforehand showed a great lack of trust. More seriously for us was the fact that on both days the cleaning lady would begin trying to enter the apartment to clean at 10 am, and by 11 am (by which time we had asked her to give us more time 2 times) she would not even bother to knock on the door before entering to clean. This is simply UNACCEPTABLE. While I do recognize that in a small hotel the cleaning staff cannot be there round the clock, people on holiday cannot and should not be expected to wake up and get out of the bed and room simply because the cleaning lady is simply impatient to get on with it. For these reasons, I cannot in good conscience give a "Very good" rating to this establishment. If these minuses are fixed, though, or for people who do not really mind, this is a pleasant place to stay.
