An amazing 5-night stay at Alexandros while we were in Sifnos for our daughter’s wedding. They were there to assist, whether it was the luggage, an iron and ironing board or giving us information on which part of the island is affected by the northern winds we were going to have on the day of the wedding! Rooms were sparkling clean, fresh towels were provided daily and the view of Platys Gyalos from the breakfast veranda was amazing - not to mention the freshly squeezed orange juice and homemade lemon and fig marmalade in the buffet! Could not recommend it more! I know we will be back when we in Sifnos again!

This hotel is.a real gem in a super little beach town. The style of the hotel is like a little Cycladic village with the rooms accessed via narrow paths. Our room was very comfortable with views of both the sea and the fantastic pool area. I have to call out the breakfast which was a daily highlight. Buffet style, but it had absolutely everything- hot, cold, traditional, continental….totally set us up for the day. The pool area is lovely with loungers as well as a shady sitting are with comfy couches where you can have drinks, read your book or have a game of backgammon! The pool bar serves a good menu of lunch or light dinner options as well as some nicely made cocktail. The beach and town are no more than a 150m walk from the back of the hotel and there are some super restaurants within a 5 minute walk. Then there are the staff - incredibly friendly and helpful as well as flexible. There was a ferry strike while we were there and they helped us navigate the uncertainty of our travel plans. We would return again without a second thought.

Spotless clean, unique location breath away from the beach and above all amazing hosting from all the people in the hotel . Their smile and willingness to assist in any moment is heartwarming. Definitely recommended for families or not . Big thanks and Bravo to all

We stayed here, relaxed and played as a big family 10 years ago. We took 4 rooms. We enjoyed our stay then and so we did again this time as a couple. The owners did not remember us of course, what with so many customers, but to us it was like returning home. We expected it to be frayed at the edges… more

We stayed here, relaxed and played as a big family 10 years ago. We took 4 rooms. We enjoyed our stay then and so we did again this time as a couple. The owners did not remember us of course, what with so many customers, but to us it was like returning home. We expected it to be frayed at the edges but far from it, it was immaculate, well maintained and the gardens still a masterpiece. Older people may find the “up and down” layout to the hotel tiresome, but there are never more than a few steps at a time as one walks through the beautiful gardens from the pool bar to the breakfast veranda. Anyway, we saw it as healthy, daily exercise and my new legs a testimony of being there a week. If you have heavy cases, there is a strong man to shoulder them to your room. The hotel is not noisy, sleep quality very good and with excellent staff, who were very well dressed, attentive, hard working and always wearing a smile. ( We both voted Margarita on Reception as having the biggest, widest smile! Most importantly, she knows all the 9 taxi drivers by name and they don’t let her down. If she says 11 o’clock they arrive precisely on time, so no worries about ferry connections. ) The breakfast is awesome; the best offered anywhere by an Aegean island hotel. Hardly surprising, nobody has ever complained! Of particular note, the homemade jams and preserves are quite exceptional but lovers of fresh eggs and bacon will not be disappointed. The stroll down to the magnificent sandy beach is an easy 50 ms slope, both ways. The choice of eateries along this beach are varied and quite good. The two we liked most are both next to each other. To Steki, a typical Greek taverna and Mama Mia, a typical Italian owned Pizzerias. There is a bus service which stops right outside the hotel. One can set one’s watch to it; every hour on the half hour. Just 10 mins and we were in Apollonia the main hora of Sifnos, with wonderful Sifnos fare eateries, clothes shops, local sweets, biscuits, capers etc. We miss the Alexandros experience already! Maybe they will remember us next time.
