We stayed at this hotel last week for a week. It was our first time in Kefalonia and we can understand why so many guests were repeat guests. It’s a very modern hotel with all the main facilities such as pool, restaurant, bar etc at the front. The rooms are low rise and in small sections of 4 rooms. They are built behind the hotel going up the hill so it was a bit surprising to go to a beachfront hotel where no rooms had sea views. The rooms were faultless, had everything you need for a holiday. Plenty of storage space, good size bathroom, air conditioning, fridge and coffee making facilities. Beds incredibly comfortable. TV but the only channels in English were 24 hour news. Small balcony, this was probably the only negative. Very little separation from the rooms next door, just felt a bit exposed and as mentioned, no view. We had opted for B&B, which in my opinion is the best option. The breakfast was perfectly acceptable, it never really changed but there is plenty of choice. There are so many wonderful tavernas within walking distance, we ate somewhere different every night. We loved the walk into Skala every evening, it’s about a mile but pavement all the way. We did encounter an issue with a couple of other guests whose behaviour was incredibly unpleasant in the early hours. In no way did we blame the hotel, the staff and our Tui rep could not have been kinder or more helpful and resolved what was a tricky situation for everyone. Had a wonderful massage in the spa, very reasonable at €45 for an hour of bliss. Leaving the best to last…. absolutely no need to worry about getting a sun lounger! More than enough to go round whether you get up at 7am or noon, you’ll always find a spot. Sooo civilised.

Just returned from our first visit to Tesoro Blue Hotel & Spa in Kefalonia.Although our flight was delayed meaning a very late arrival at the Hotel we need not have worried.On arrival we received a very warm welcome from the staff and were met with a cool drink and were very efficiently booked in and told that food had been placed in our room.Our room was on the first level and was in very good order complementary water.Next day Reception staff organised car hire which arrived very quickly and we would recommend car hire during your stay if possible.Although the beach.supermarket and restaurants are all within walking distance of the hotel.The restaurant and bar staff were always available.Breakfast was a very relaxed affair with plenty of room for everybody.The pool had plenty of sunbeds so there was no problem.Thankyou to Costas who made our evening meals in the restaurant so enjoyable nothing was too much trouble…thank you.The coach transfer was a little longer than we would normally want but it was well worth it.

“Nice hotel, shame about the wine.”

Lovely hotel which is difficult to fault. The rooms are far better than we expected and the facilities are excellent, as is the fantastic seafront location with views of the ocean. It is a bit of a walk into Skala but taxis are only 7 euroes and run up and down the same beachfront day and night. I do think that the hotel could make more use of the beach outside their hotel as many others have done. The only dissapointment was that they changed the wine half way through our holiday from the lovely local honeyed wine to a disgusting yellow wine which was not even palatable if you mixed it with soda. Stay with the local wine Tesoro blu and people will be much happier. We ended up on cocktails just to stay away from it. (But maybe that was the plan all along). Also the food can be a bit hit and miss and is much nicer if you wander up the road to the local taverna's. On a more positive note it is the only hotel where we didnt have to get up at the crack of dawn just to grab a sunbed as there were always plenty to go round.

“Expensive holiday”

The hotel is very nice, clean, and the staff are friendly. But an expensive holiday! If you add €30 for 3 hours to use the sauna and steam room, (should have checked before we came) which we wanted to do every day, this adds another €210 to your holiday budget. The hotel is very nice, clean, and the staff are friendly. But an expensive holiday! If you add €30 for 3 hours to use the sauna and steam room, (should have checked before we came) which we wanted to do every day, this adds another €210 to your holiday budget. I have stayed in many spa hotels and never had to pay extra to use the steam room or sauna. Treatments yes..It takes away from the experience..
