We really enjoyed our visit. The buffet food was very tasty and varied, the staff were very friendly and attentive. The inflatable in the sea was great fun for the kids (9 and 11) and they spent many many hours on it each day, although we saw a significant injury to an individual which required hospital treatment and we all suffered cuts (my son had an especially bad cut on his shin) and bruises from the equipment. You take part at your own risk which is understandable for this type of activity, however I would advise the resort to ensure it is fully inflated each morning not just every other day as is current practice (we watched this daily). I had a small issue with the hum of an air conditioning unit on the roof which unfortunately restricted my enjoyment on the balcony and could not be resolved within my 10 night stay which was a bit disappointing, however I have to say even due to this I would fully recommend the hotel. The beach is small and the water is not clear so unless you visit other bays snorkelling is not good, however we hired a car so got to see the varied sea life in Corfu. The entertainment is okay. The dancers really did put on a good show and were very talented, however I would avoid the comedy night!

“Lovely hotel”

Stayed for a week here in August, the hotel is beautiful Spotless clean and lovely staff. Food was very average and thought the cocktails were very poor.

Overall a very good hotel that hit a lot of positives for us when it comes to getting a break together as a family. With 2 children below 10, we liked that the hotel had everything within the large and well maintained grounds, but that it was also short five minute walk to the shops/restaurants located close by the hotel. This was handy as we wanted to stretch our legs and get a change of scene a couple of times during the week and go out and have a meal outside the hotel. The food in the hotel was good, and the place was very clean and well kept. There was no shortage of things to do in the week that we stayed, and the beach and inflatable course in the sea kept our kids amused when we were not in the pools. We were fortunate enough to have the preferred club room down at the beach with a sea view, which was great. The preferred club in our opinion was worth the extra, as it allowed us an area away from the main areas in the hotel, and that never felt too busy and contained all the branded drinks that didn’t appear in the rest of the hotel. The staff were all very friendly to us and were very responsive to any issues that arose during the week, particular thanks to Yolanda. There was a short commute from airport to hotel which was also something that we were happy about, and a regular no. 7 blue bus stop and service in and out of Corfu town located nearby. All in all a great hotel, that I would highly recommend.

Overall this hotel is lovely and great for families. There are plenty more positives than negatives, but our main takeaway is that this is not a 5 star hotel as advertised. ROOMS Our room was nice, modern, and the bed was very comfy. We were in the most basic room and in hindsight should’ve upgraded as it was pretty small and in the corner at the front of the hotel. Had a few issues with the air conditioning cutting out for hours at a time - we logged this 3 times but it was never resolved. The bathroom is nice and modern but also a lot smaller than the photos. Had some black mould in the shower, found worms in the bottom of the shower a few days, and had a terrible smell in there but the smell was sorted quickly. The cleaner was fine, bed always made, but left our dirty glasses in the room, found a few black hairs on the bed, and towels were not often replenished. Our fridge was also never restocked and there is no mirror in the main room which was also a bit annoying. Overall it’s a nice room and we would have no issues staying here again, but it’s definitely not a 5 star. BEACH Beach was nice and no rush for loungers. Water easy to get into but not clear if you’re looking for that typical Greek sea. Drink service was also best at the beach. Would definitely advise against the big inflatables as we spoke to a few people who had broken bones from it! POOLS We went to the main pool by the reception / front of the hotel most days as this has the best big-resort feel to it. Lovely and big and perfect for families. Always managed to get loungers but we were there at 8.30/9. Service was slower at this pool and not what we are used to, but overall it was fine and the bar is a very short walk away. Even though the pool is a nice pool, it looks run down - green algae on the waterfall and fading cracked tiles, not what you’d expect at a 5 star hotel. The chlorine smell was also very very strong which I’ve never had at a hotel before. One of the biggest disappointments though is the swim up bar - you cannot call this a swim up bar. There are no stools or seats in the water, no drinks, and the door was boarded up. Overall this bar was very moody and dingy, the staff weren’t that friendly and even the nacho machine looked disgusting like it’s never had a clean. We did voice this to the staff when Guest Services came around. Again, it’s not a huge deal if you’re here with a family, but we are used to 5 star resorts in the Caribbean, so maybe our expectations are too high, but this was a sad part of the hotel! Loved the quiet adult pool at the top. Had a look at the infinity pool but never used as this was absolutely swamped and super busy. CLEANLINESS overall the resort is lovely and clean and the landscapers do a constant job. Reception toilets are lovely, as are the ones by the infinity pool. The toilets at the big pool though were gross - very very old and tired, smelly, not cleaned regularly in the day. The buffet was clean overall but the seats were sticky and fabric cushions looked grubby. DRINKS Drinks were good overall - great Hugo Spritz and Amaretto Sours. Nice selection of soft drinks but the mocktail list could definitely be improved as it feels very juvenile. Again, the quality of the drinks was not what we are used to for a 5 star resort - very hit and miss depending which bar you are at, no different flavours offered, small plastic cups by the pool rather than nice big plastic cocktail glasses. Coffee shop is also abit disappointing - we were expecting an on-site ‘shop’ not a counter next to the buffet. No selection of ice cream, sorbet and fresh fruit like we are used to in a 5 star. Felt like a box ticking exercise and is poorly thought out in terms of the location. FOOD Buffet - was close to a 5 star for us, selection of food was lovely and it was tasty with lots of variety. I’m allergic to dairy and soya and felt confident that everything was labelled correctly. Every type of milk is available and there’s a chilled section with almond yoghurts in the morning and free-from desserts at lunch and dinner, which was a lovely touch. The only thing that stops this being a bit short of expectations is that there are no fresh jugs of juice (there’s a boarded up dispenser or carton stuff), and no smoothie bar, which surprised us for a 5 star. I also saw a grown man touching the food with his hands which scared me 😂 Al a cartes - impossible to book on the app but staff were great at getting us booked in (I can’t remember her name but she’s wonderful!). Overall the food was very good here and met expectations - good portions and tasty food. From an allergy perspective however I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. When prebooking the restaurants with the staff you pre order food, and I had some questions on the menu so she called the chef. We agreed what I would eat at the Seaside Grill but when I arrived I couldn’t have anything I picked. They were accommodating at making me something else but this felt disappointing as all I wanted was the cheese left out of a dish - nothing crazy. At the YiaYia restaurant service was very slow and impossible to get a drink. My main came out covered in cream despite us clearly communicating ahead of time and the dish being labelled as dairy free. A kids meal was also missing so we had to wait. We ordered 7 desserts but they only had 3 on their log for us, and staff did not understand my allergies at all at this restaurant, it was a real pain. The Italian restaurant was fine and no issues with allergies, but the ‘seafood Mediterranean pasta’ was tomato pasta with 3 prawns on top - tasty but disappointing. I’ve never ever been to a hotel (especially one advertised as 5 star) that doesn’t ask about food allergies at every sitting. I’d expect a chef to walk me around the buffet and let me know what’s safe to eat, and I’d expect a waiter to take me through my options or bring the chef out at the al a cartes. My allergies aren’t life threatening, but the restaurants aren’t able to adapt the menu or cater existing dishes well if you have more complex or sensitive allergies. Overall it’s a perfect family friendly hotel and we would consider returning with our baby in the future. But, we paid a lot of money for this holiday and expected a 5 star resort as a result, so just a pre-warning to any other holiday goers that are expecting the same.
