I booked a year ago and have monitored reviews & very nearly cancelled many times - I am GLAD I stuck to my gut and didn't. From arrival the reception team were lovely, informative & super helpful. Our room (triple) was on the ground floor and was stunning. Large, immaculate, walk in shower, two wardrobes, the best air con I have had anywhere & and a gorgeous patio area. The hotel itself is beautiful - the grounds and plants are outstanding and the gardener puts genuine love into what he is doing. Other reviews mention the steps to the bar.. I didn't use them once, there is no need - turn right out of the bar and you can get back up to the hotel with a very slight and manageable incline. The pool was gorgeous - unheated but it was a bath! The pool staff - LOVE them all especially my Joanna - if you ask her nicely she will make her own Cocktail which is not on the menu 'Joanna's Galaxy' (Amalia please start advertising this!! The pool snack bar - wonderful lady, she works so hard and it gets busy but her system is faultless. Big thanks to you for putting up with my weird adjustments to the set items due to awaiting Gallbladder removal. You are a legend. The restaurant - amazing. Not as much choice as the usual slop of rubbish you get at the average AI - what is there is cooked from scratch and wonderful. We stayed two weeks and only had the same dishes maybe once/twice. BBQ 2/3 times a week which brings in chorizo, Gyros, belly pork and others. Beautiful salad bar. Always soup available & lovely desserts. The Sofrito and Stifado were gorgeous. Again, as with all the staff at Amalia they work hard, so polite and very efficient. To the 'boss man' - I love you!! Every morning singing 'oooouuuupppp tout ballisimo' and the gorgeous family of cats appear from nowhere and follow him around the pool - You made our holiday. If people find the beds firm (perfect for us) you can ask for a topper. We had one issue with the Fridge and it was fixed immediately. House keeping - superb and an absolute gem of ladies. Room immaculate, always. Fresh towels daily. Couldn't have asked for more. Please ignore the old reviews - we all know that a majority of 'British Reviewers' expect 5 star for 1 star prices. I have been fortunate to travel a lot of the globe, have stayed in some high end establishments, and honestly, this place is my favourite by far. It is the only holiday I left crying and knowing that 100% I will be returning next year. People need to book on their 'wants' and not by price. I specifically wanted no kids, small hotel, the feel of a family run business, and a complete relax from life/work - with quiet evenings by the bar and not the drivel of nightly tacky entertainment you get in most AIs. Entertainment Friday - Singer and the young lovely lad from the bar plays keyboard - super talented. Saturday - Greek Dancers - lovely to see. Tuesday - Two singers - Wow, she is an incredible guitarist. Lastly, the cherry on the cake - the cats. If you don't want them to be around you they won't come near. For me, I loved them all, especially the one in the photo who I called Fidget. We had morning and night lap cuddles on my patio and I fell in love with her so much that I was balling my eyes out in reception checking out! I will miss you all 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾 To all the staff at Amalia - Thank you so very much for making our two week stay so wonderful. It's not goodbye, it's until the next time! X

Great small and friendly hotel 3star so no frills but lovely modern set up great pool little more storage in rooms would be good housekeeping let it down the most which was a shame A/O =nice peaceful setting, A/I = lovely bar with great hand made cocktails Food a little basic but always found something to my taste fabulous deserts Area is a little disappointing not much around possibly due to the ikos hotel ripping out the heart of the village 2 beaches a walk away , first very small stones but incredibly peaceful The one near to the ikos is nice with some nice bars to sit and watch the sea of the evening and the Malibu beach looked amazing, with gorgeous sunbeds and the whole beach vibe Good bus service into Corfu town from right outside the hotel, all in all for the price we paid this was a great choice thanks for a good stay

Staff are absolutely lovely always smiling trying to give a good impression, we was given a roll on arrival which was late at night which was very appreciated and a vegetarian one for my partner. Breakfast is the only negative i have about this hotel not many options at all but lunch tea and especially the snack bar are superb, snack bar open twice a day pancakes are phenomenal. Our room was a decent size and relatively tidy only issue we had was shower leaking through the door. Beach 10 minutes away isn’t worth attending better off staying at the pool would very much recommend this hotel to any other couple and for those interested they have the world cup on in hotel ⚽️

After reading the mixed reviews on the hotel, I was anxious about staying. We did arrive at the hotel reception was very pleasant and informative. When we had booked the holiday, the room had been on artist impression and I have been lead to believe that hotel was renovated or refurbished. When walked into our room with the bathroom seat was not on properly which my husband fixed. The tap for the sink was covered in lime scale and moved when you put the tap on so you have to be careful when adjusting the flow of the water. The extract fan in the bathroom did not work, which wasn’t ideal as there was no window or any other ventilation. I would have to say that the air conditioner looked to be brand new and did a great job keep the room cool. With regards to the food, I will say that that this was very mixed and the temperature was not what you would expect to have. There was microwave available to use, but I have never had to heat up my food to the correct temperature before eating. There was quite a good selection for the main meals however I would say breakfast was quite limited and the same things each day. The apple juice was virtually dark brown. and if you’re unfortunate and the bread hadn’t been delivered, you couldn’t have any nice cut, which is quite nice to have for an open sandwich for breakfast. This might be Greece and I would have expected the baklava’s to appear more than twice appeared twice over the week. As this is a traditional dessert, I did to see this but possibly daily with a different variations. The selection of cocktails at the pool bar were good. The snack bar by the pool had a good range of food and that came hot, which was a real treat! Unfortunately, the only place to get a drink was the pool bar which was down a set of steps. So if you wanted a drink in the evening and not sit down by the pool, then unfortunately you had to go down the steps and back up again if you wanted to sit in the lounge area. I would say the staff are all very friendly and it’s unfortunate that the hotel didn’t live up to the expectations.
