I visited Ikos Odisia last September and we had an amazing time. I would especially like to mention Eleni from reception, who assisted us with every request we had, and Lia for all of her support during our stay.

Wonderful hotel at a priviledged location with beautiful views from all spots. Staff is very attentive and cleanliness is spotless everywhere. Wonderful hotel at a priviledged location with beautiful views from all spots. Staff is very attentive and cleanliness is spotless everywhere. Our room was at Gardens Village first floor, nicely decorated with a lovely pool view which is adults only. Food quality and service was super at all bars and restaurants and a special mention to room service for their patience with our non-stop orders!!!! Also a big thank you to our maids who were servicing our room daily with care. Efharisto poli!!!!

“Very mixed feelings”

We travelled with our 2 children aged 3.5 and 1.5 years. We chose to try Ikos as we had heard so much about it as a luxury holiday option with young children. I can’t fault the beauty of the resort and the service around the pool was excellent - whenever we arrived to sit by the pool a were offered a drink within a few minutes of arriving. The buffet and à la carte restaurants were also all very good quality and beautifully designed. However, what ruined our holiday was the kids club. We had hoped we would be able to put our two children into kids club and have 2-3 hours of time to ourselves per day which is so very rare for us given their ages, and had forked out a lot of money for this particular reason. However, upon entering on the first day, the kids club itself, and in particular the welcome, was horrendous and we were extremely shocked. The kids club manager could not have been more unfriendly and none of the staff made any effort at all to even say hello to our children (particularly the 3.5 year old toddler) who was a little apprehensive about staying there without us. They pretty much ignored him and then when we tried to leave and he got upset, he ran back out to us and in his speed and upset, he tripped on the dirt path, and sent some dirt flying, scuffing the plant bed. The kids club manager’s response was to sneer and make a comment about the mess and the path border being ruined. We were shocked but tried our best to win him back around given that our hope of a holiday break rested on them enjoying kids club. We persevered with this, with no help whatsoever from the staff who just stood around at a distance and watched us trying to talk him around. This in itself was extremely hard because, I kid you not, there were barely ANY toys in the baby room (which was the only room they were allowed in until age 4 I believe). There was a drawing table with a few old pens and pencils, about 3 battered cars and a scattering of dog eared books. There really was nothing to draw them in, and in my desperation, I even went over to the cupboards, opening every one attempting to try to dig out anything else and they were empty. I was shocked - the very point of a kids club is a space where the kids are enticed to have FUN, and we were gobsmacked at this, particular given the prices Ikos charge. The baby care for our 1.5 year old was only marginally better, and in the 3 hours we left her she hadn’t had 1 nappy change, and our friends who left their baby collected her in an unchanged dirty nappy. I left this first and only kids club session in tears, and from then on my son begged not to have to go back, actually shaking visibly whenever we walked past the kids club entrance from the initial trauma, so the very holiday we booked in the hope of having a bit of a break was in fact the opposite. I sincerely hope the kids club has changed since we stayed. For the à la carte restaurants, the service in all was very slow despite the good food, which again is highly stressful with very small children when you only have a tight evening window. Despite the beautiful environment, we were left extremely disappointed and very upset that the kids club service in particular was so very shocking for a resort and brand where it should be at the very top of its league.
