My partner and I stayed here for four nights as part of a multi-stop tour, and it set the standard for the rest of the trip. This small, 25-room, adults-only hotel is in the quiet resort town of Ypsos, with dozens of restaurants, a few bars, the waterfront, and beaches all within a 10-20 minute walk. Parking is included, and Old Corfu, the airport, and Paleokastritsa are all about 25-30 minutes away by car. The property appears to have been recently built or renovated and was beautifully maintained, with lovely landscaping and impeccable cleanliness. The large swimming pool was one of the nicest we’ve experienced, with plenty of sturdy loungers and a peaceful, adults-only atmosphere. Our room was spacious, with lots of storage, a large balcony overlooking the pool, a small fridge, a Nespresso machine with daily refills, and a modern bathroom with a rainhead shower. Breakfast was another standout. The buffet changed daily but always featured an excellent selection of hot dishes, fresh fruit, vegetables, cheeses, cold cuts, breads, pastries, and made-to-order coffee. The service was exceptional throughout our stay. We’ve stayed at nicer hotels in Europe, perhaps, but none we’d actually be willing to pay for ourselves. We’ll definitely be back.

“Return for a 3rd time”

After a 25-30 minute drive from the airport the taxi driver turned into the driveway of La Maison and immediately all the stress goes and you start to relax in this oasis of calm and beauty. After a 25-30 minute drive from the airport the taxi driver turned into the driveway of La Maison and immediately all the stress goes and you start to relax in this oasis of calm and beauty. Once again Aphrodite and her team were so welcoming and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble from borrowing a cork screw for the week or hiring a car - Aphrodite can help. For the breakfast each morning there is so much choice with many local specialities. The pool is always so clean and inviting. Thank you to everyone for making another holiday very special and we are looking forward to returning next year.

“Lovely quiet and peaceful hotel”

Very peaceful and clean including the garden area and overall property. Excellent holiday place to stay and we found it had a varied and healthy breakfast if you wanted it. Great coffee and tea available for breakfast with some free water for the day. Service at breakfast was always superb and frie… more

Very peaceful and clean including the garden area and overall property. Excellent holiday place to stay and we found it had a varied and healthy breakfast if you wanted it. Great coffee and tea available for breakfast with some free water for the day. Service at breakfast was always superb and friendly. Sun beds were very comfy and pleasing to see no rush for beds. We went out walking or spent days at the beach especially Dassia which had a very good beach. We also used Dominos pool when having a drink or lunch there which is short walk as you simply go left out of the hotel. Ipsos beach, bars, restaurants and supermarkets are a short walk turning right out of the hotel. I would suggest using your phone torches as the road can be dark and busy as times. The hotel has a safe, WiFi and great aircon. We used the bar and restaurant as well which was very good. A lovely peaceful and very enjoyable relaxing boutique hotel to stay in.

La Maison was a 24-hour stay at the end of our three-week trip to Corfu, Paxos, and Albania. We chose this property as it was a bit removed from the Old City, where we had already spent many days, but within a reasonable time/distance from the airport. (Note - the taxi ride to the airport was $40 Euros and took 30 minutes). The highlights of the property include the refreshing and beautiful swimming pool complete with sunbeds and umbrellas, and a very generous and personalized breakfast buffet. We were disappointed by the lack of drink/food offerings at the pool and the outrageous pricing of the items we ordered. These drinks and entrees were the most expensive of any place we stayed for the duration of our three weeks in Europe! During our afternoon by the pool, the winds were high, and one of the umbrellas broke free, flying across the pool, nearly impaling a guest. This was a significant safety concern. We also noticed a lack of personalized service, being asked to carry our own bags up several flights of stairs to and from our room when typically hotel staff will transfer bags if guests are waiting for the room to be ready. The room was functional, but clinical and small. Nothing particularly interesting or unique about it - and it was very hot. The air conditioning only works when guests are in the room, so it takes a long time to cool down if it's been left out. However, the complimentary bottle of Rose and the olive oil upon departure were kind gestures. In general, we found the Ipsos area to be the least enticing of any region we visited on Corfu. This region is filled with young people clamoring for drinks and nightlife. When I ventured out for my morning walk, I was greeted with drunk party-goers at 7am walking around delusional from their evening escapades (it was a Tuesday morning), still drinking, yelling, carousing, engaging in sexual acts on the beach...not a pleasant way to start a day. While La Maison attempts to remove itself from this environment, guests are forced into it if they want to go to a supermarket or restaurant near the hotel. This is not a region we'd intend to visit again.
