Maistrali Hotel & Apartments is a true gem on Zakynthos. The intimate atmosphere and peaceful surroundings make it a perfect choice for families with children. No crowds, no stress – just pure relaxation and a genuine Greek vibe. The apartments are clean, spacious, and well-equipped – ideal for a comfortable stay. The pool area is also a big plus: clean, well-maintained, with plenty of sunbeds and a calm, relaxing vibe. Our kids had a blast, and we could truly unwind. In the evenings, the hotel hosts themed dinners with live music – a fantastic way to experience Greek culture, enjoy tasty food, and even dance a little. Speaking of food – breakfast, lunch, and dinner were absolutely delicious. Fresh ingredients, lots of variety, and meals clearly prepared with care and heart. The hotel bar is another hidden gem – Patty and Yannis are the heart and soul of the place. Incredibly friendly, always smiling and helpful. Their positive energy and delicious drinks make the evenings even more enjoyable. Highly recommended if you're looking for a peaceful, family-friendly place with great food, warm staff, and authentic Greek charm. We'll definitely be back!

“Not a 4 star hotel”

On arrival, the complex looked really lovely and the bar by the pool was busy. On check-in in the young man gave us no information regarding breakfast times or WiFi codes or entertainment we just happened to be on our balcony on the Greek night. Showed us to our block where our apt was on the 3rd floor. There are no lifts and he handed over the keys and said You're on the 3rd floor and walked away. We had 2 suitcases plus hand luggage he did not offer to help at all. The room was large and spacious with good A/C. The room maids were friendly and worked really hard, the hotel was immaculate. The pool area was good always sunbeds available and you can use the Dream Hotel next door which we did frequently. Breakfast Going into breakfast always 2 staff on the door I assume to greet you but I never got a good morning once, after about the 3rd day I gave up trying. Wasps/hornets all over the jams marmalade honey and cakes. Dead wasps in the honey are removed by staff with a spoon and honey is left there. The cereal was very poor and the bread was dry and stale. The hot food selection was passable the egg selection was the best of all. Fruit juices came out of a machine which tasted more like cordial and was not very drinkable. The tables outside were never set for breakfast if you wanted to eat outside you had to set your own table. They constantly ran out of cups and plates and we often had to drink our tea or coffee out of a takeaway paper cup. The water went off one morning and didn't come back on till almost lunch time so unable to go to the toilet wash hand have a shower. This was apparently the 2nd time it had happened that week. Hotel towels cost 5 euro per towel and you had to pay 1 euro per towel to have them changed. In my opinion it is not a 4 star hotel more like a 3 star. The location of the hotel was within walking distance of bars and restaurants a handy supermarket directly across the road A bus stop 5 minutes around the corner which will take you to Tsillivi or Zante town. The closest good beach was a 30-minute walk away, called Donkey Beach, there were closer beaches but in my opinion, they were very poor.
