“Lovely hotel booked again already for next year”

Lovely hotel, rooms clean and we had a couple of issues while we were there but both faults resolved straight away, Delight restaurant next door was lovely too, staff so lovely can’t wait to go back

This was a fantastic base to explore Kalamaki from. The room was spotlessly clean and we were taken care of by the staff incredibly well. I cannot fault them at all. The pool area was also clean and the Pool was well maintained. The sunbeds were comfortable and there was always plenty. We did enjoy watching the planes fly over the pool during the day. Our only negative with regards to the hotel is that the plane starts to fly over from about 6 am so if you are not an early riser you will be woken up. Obviously, this is not the fault of the hotel, but it is something to bear in mind. Location wise there is a shop about 40 m up the road and you are about a five minute walk from kalamaki Beach. We would definitely recommend this place to people visiting the area for the first time, particularly if you are a heavy sleeper or an early riser. We would love to thank the staff there, especially the team at Delight which is the on-site restaurant and bar. They could not have been more welcoming and we had a great time.

“Fabulous budget hotel!”

We came as three adults, a couple and our adult child. First impressions were the hotel and its grounds are immaculate. We were in room 107 so on the ground floor. It was a little dark in the mornings until about mid-afternoon but that suited us fine as refuge from the heat. Our room was spotless when we arrived and there was plenty of space. We paid for air conditioning and that worked exactly as it should and the fridge kept everything really cold and had a decent ice compartment. Kettle and toaster were both fine. Our cleaner was so lovely. Room was cleaned every other day and we always had plenty of toilet roll (I know this came up on a previous review). The shower cubicle is a little cramped but let’s say, I am a plus sized woman and I could shower with no worries. The water pressure and temperature were great so no complaints there. The restaurant attached to the hotel was great! Food was lovely and drinks were reasonably priced and the service was fantastic. Now, the pool area is lovely and I never struggled to get a bed but I will say, for the size of the hotel, the pool is a little small. I am not complaining about kids, this is not an adults only hotel, but once there was lots of children in the pool (and adults on lilos), it became a bit cramped but this is just my personal perspective. Children should absolutely be able to have fun! It’s just more me liking to actually swim rather than float about. That being said, from 6-8pm the pool empties and I used to swim then and it was wonderful. It is probably a 5 minute brisk walk to the beach and maybe 10 minutes to the middle of the main strip so excellent location but maybe too far one end of mobility is an issue. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and I would definitely stay again. People just need to remember this is a 2* hotel, not a 4/5* and need to adjust their expectations accordingly. I have stayed in Kalamaki for many years and this is up there with one of our best holidays. A 2* in England would be an absolute hovel but the Macedonia is far from that. Our first stay in the beautiful grounds and hotel. The rooms are of a good size and cleaned every other day and the linens/towels changed frequently. I do think the bins could be emptied daily for better hygiene especially when we have children's nappies and female hygiene products. Pool and bar areas are kept clean however the landing/porch way by the doors to the apartments could do with more frequent sweeps - there was a bug leg on the floor for about 3 days. The pool is a good size there are step ladders to get in and out of the pool - the hand rails do get every hot! The children's pool is a good depth however the glass around it wasn't the best - the youngest of the group did slip in suddenly and if the glass wasn't there one of us would have been with him quicker and easier - he's fine and was back in the water within half hour - ice cream treat needed! There is plenty of breakfast choice for b&b and it does vary each day - although a label as to what is available would make the choices suitable for vegetarians etc. Snacks, drinks and ice cream choice is plentiful. The park area is a great addition and one of the reasons we picked this hotel. The floor in the park and around the pool do get very hot as the day wears on but the park flooring is safety tarmac. The hotel is under the flight path and both the children loved watching them fly in or out! The first flight each day comes in around 6am and due to the kalamaki bay being a turtle nesting bay and beach the planes do stop around 10pm. There is a tourist/supermarket just out onto the main road and 2 more a bit further down. Keep walking and you will find restaurants, bars and shops. Beach is the other way out of the hotel and less than a 10 min walk.
