Thank you Contessa for another great holiday,unfortunately I was taken Poorly while there,the staff Lydia especially helped me with the nessasary paperwork insurance etc.inresort jet2 staff also went above and behond to help me,nothing worse than being poorly on holiday. The hotel facilities are fantastic beds so comfy ( I spent a lot of time in mine! Haha…staff can’t do enough to ensure your stay is comfortable.the cleaning team very good towels soft and spotless.I also have walking difficulties there are restaurants and bars within a short distance altho we spent a lot of time at the hotel,the pool bar serves food till 11 pm very competitive prices fresh and tasty. Thank you to all the staff for making our holiday special ,we were there in may and back September nothing changes perfect hotel.thank you…Shirley and Carol xx

I read some comments before choosing Contessa and to be honest I was not sure if it is good choice. I read some comments before choosing Contessa and to be honest I was not sure if it is good choice. After coming back from one week holiday in Contessa I can say only that there is a "kind" of people that should stop be so demanding... -price is good -stuff is extremely friendly and helpful -rooms were cleaned every day, towels changes every 2 days - this is great -breakfast? I just say that there is +2kg of me after holiday -rooms on level one (basement?) - still with balcony and totally ok -smell? - only of corridors cleaned every day.... -pool - great, big and whole day sunny (water cols but is October) -pool bar - good prices, good food -Location - in general Argassi is poor, without a car you are not able to do anything more than eating and buying souvernires (beach is terrible) but in Argassi in general - locations is good (300m from main street, close to airport, with car rentals and restaurants all around) For people who want to spend good time, relax and eat good breakfasts, highly recommended, there is nothing bad I can say

Came for our 40th wedding Anniversary on the 20th. Stayed on the third floor overlooking the pool which was nice and clean . They left us a bottle of fiss and a nice card from the hotel also decorated are bed with flour petal which was a nice thought. We came to this resort over 15yrs ago but now it looks a lot busier (progress) plenty of restaurants look on trip for best reviews .All hotel staff are very friendly with a good pool bar. The breakfast was very good but it was a shame we could not sit on the veranda outside due to the smokers/ vapours whilst people were eating. In saying that we would recommend this hotel a lot of people come back again & again . Yamas

We recently stayed at Hotel Contessa and while there are some definite positives, there are also a few areas that could really benefit from improvement. The positives first: The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable – genuinely some of the best we’ve had in a hotel. The sunbeds around the pool were also excellent and very comfortable (when you can find one in the sun!). The pool bar staff deserve a special mention – always friendly, polite and helpful. The hotel’s location is another big plus – right in the heart of Argassi, close to everything. Areas for improvement: We found the €15 per week charge to use the fridge in the room a bit unnecessary. It is stated on the hotel’s website when you book to be fair, but it still feels quite excessive given the fridge is already there and switched on. Room cleaning could be more consistent – on a couple of occasions, glasses and cups were left dirty and the surfaces not properly wiped down. Towels are changed every two days with no flexibility, which can be tricky after a rain shower when everything is damp. Storage in the room is limited – no drawers and not quite enough hangers for two people. The walk-in shower looks nice but tends to leave the bathroom floor quite wet, and the small bath mat isn’t quite enough to keep the water in check. The sunbed situation is a little frustrating. Despite a “no reserving” policy, towels appear on beds very early, leaving limited choice later in the morning. This sometimes meant heading to beach bars instead, which was a shame as we would have preferred to stay and enjoy the hotel facilities. There is a lot of shade around the pool area from large trees so sun bed choice if wanting to sunbath is limited hence why people I suppose are reserving with towels very early. Breakfast was unfortunately not to our taste. The selection is generous, but much of it seemed rather bland – even the Greek yoghurt lacked flavour, which surprised us in Greece! Some unusual choices appeared (peas, sweetcorn and pizza at breakfast), while the eggs were always overcooked, fried or boiled. The layout also causes bottlenecks around the coffee machine, and the music at breakfast was quite loud – a bit more “morning club” than “relaxed start to the day.” The weekly BBQ night had good intentions, though we did spot a cat reaching up and touching one of the trays used for food later on – hopefully just an oversight, but perhaps something the staff could keep an eye on. Lastly, early risers will appreciate the 7:30 a.m. wake-up call courtesy of the pool cleaning team and their leaf blower – though for those hoping for a lie-in, it’s worth packing earplugs! Overall: Hotel Contessa has a lot going for it – great location, comfortable rooms and friendly staff – but a few small changes could make a big difference. A bit more attention to cleaning, flexibility with towels, and some refinement to breakfast would really lift the experience.
