An unforgettable 10th anniversary stay – our search is finally over! We are currently staying at Porto Angeli and everything has exceeded our expectations! From the moment we arrived, we noticed how incredibly organized, flawless, and well-managed this resort is. A great example of their top-notch service was right at check-in: you are taken directly to your room in a golf cart with your luggage. After a long and tiring journey, not having to wander around the resort to find your room like in other hotels is a massive plus. This is actually our fourth time visiting the beautiful island of Rhodes, but every previous time we stayed in different places because none of them made us want to return. Now, it feels like our search is finally over. We have found exactly what we needed for a truly relaxing vacation where everything around us is perfect. Even if I wanted to be negative, there is absolutely nothing to complain about regarding this hotel. We are celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary here, and the hotel made it truly magical. Following a request we sent before arrival, we were greeted in our room with a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine and a lovely congratulatory card. It was such a thoughtful, attentive gesture that showed they genuinely care about their guests. Our room is superb, spacious, and spotlessly clean. The entire staff is professional, friendly, well-trained, and always ready to help with a smile. The resort's infrastructure is also amazing, offering a fantastic variety of outdoor activities. If you have children, this place is a paradise; there are so many dedicated areas and fun spaces for kids that it is impossible for them to get bored, giving parents a perfect chance to relax. When it comes to food, everything is delicious and fresh, but the desserts and sweets deserve a special mention—they are absolutely excellent and a highlight of every meal! Another huge plus for us is the beach organization: having private sunbeds on the beach included (no extra charge) with high-quality, very comfortable loungers made our relaxation time perfect. We booked 6 nights same day due to original poor hotel choice, good value suite with private pool on all inclusive basis, booked at 830am and was allowed into breakfast and hour later and lunch before suite was available, other hotels may not have allowed this. We booked 6 nights same day due to original poor hotel choice, good value suite with private pool on all inclusive basis, booked at 830am and was allowed into breakfast and hour later and lunch before suite was available, other hotels may not have allowed this. Very helpful reception staff. Suite was beautiful with lots of electric features and good value with 2 comfy beds and large dome comfy seats. Minor issue was sun was on the pool only in the afternoon. High up the resort so not suitable for elderly. Access to adults only breakfast area with lovely high quality choices. Food in the main restaurant for lunch and evening was very good and we were attentively served by Flora every time. Minor criticism was that the deserts didn't quite match the quality of the other food but a good standard all round. We did choose the Greek restaurant one night which was excellent even though we were served in a gale force wind!. Rather surprisingly the Aurora restaurant night didn't quite live up to expectations in taste with first course taking 45 mins to arrive. We tended to drink in the cocktail bar in the evenings with plenty of seats available and good choice of cocktails. Had a couple of lunches in the pool bar, Greek salads, gyros very tasty. From what we could see there were lots of activities and play areas for kids but it was good that couples had different choices. We didn't see much entertainment but the two we did, live band on a Friday and hip hop dancers on Sunday are highly recommended. Went to the beach a few days albeit last day there were no beach beds or main pool beds available so not sure if this issue persists in high season. The self service drinks on the beach were fine but for this reason I would say the hotel is more 4 star than 5 star.

Location - so very picturesque area. Right in front of a private beach. But not much else locally. Got bored around day 4 out of a 7 night trip. The hotel arranges trips and boating activities. You can take a private taxi to Rhodes for around -€55 each way. Archangelos town is €4 each way by bus. Cost of shops is not cheap or expensive by UK standards. Card is widely accepted. Rooms - we stayed in a junior suite with private pool. The room was slightly dated had 2 TVs internet access is via tv. Toiletries are by request once the first lot have been used up they don’t restock unless asked. Housekeeping ladies were really helpful. Lovely. The pool we had was dated the jacuzzi was broken. No one fixed it despite asking. The reception staff were all lovely and helpful ladies. Food was good variety and tasty. The staff in the buffet restaurant and bars are all very hardworking and happy souls. There is one up market restaurant which was a good experience. Go for the traditional Greek meze restaurant food was amazing! There’s a spa fitness place , theatre area for shows and community pools dotted about the place. Accessibility- if you can’t walk far or are unfit don’t come here honestly they do have golf cart with drivers who can take you up and down to and from your room but you end up waiting and feeling dependent on them. One staff who wore a cap middle age man was always in a mood and grumpy when driving us to and from our room. It’s a custom to tip the staff here . I made a point not to tip this guy, he impacted my mood by his rude behaviour every time I actually felt really awkward when he drove us. Atmosphere in the hotel- most people seem to be white European, mostly German , Eastern European and Italian. I saw one Asian family and one black lady, there is no ethnic mix. I would say most of the staff asides the one rude driver guy with the cap on his head are very nice, there seems to be a lack of staffing overall - I would not rate this a 5star it’s more of a 3.8 solid score having stayed at many other 5stars. Also note there’s an insect issue on the island. The crickets are huge and everywhere - the noise is 24/7. Spiders and ants are huge too. Dragon flies and other huge bees. I enjoyed my time. Temperature was around 37 deg c daily. Room ac is good. Cleaning was 9/10 as I mentioned housekeeping ladies were lovely.
