Went for 10 days All Inclusive, and this hotel was one of the best hotels we have been to as a family. Beautiful hotel, check in was straightforward. Arrived too late for dinner, but we had a sandwich and fruit waiting for us in our room, which was a nice touch. Had the family room overlooking the sea, absolutely stunning. Well worth paying a little extra for. Rooms were immaculate, cleaned every day, cleaners very friendly. Pool was clean and plenty of loungers. Did get busier as the days went on, and if you left it until 10am to get a lounger, they were full. But, throughout the day people were leaving to go elsewhere or have food and taking their towels with them, so could find a bed half way through the day. One pool is freezing, another is warm and you had the kids pool. Most people preferred the warmer pool, but as it started to get warmer, people did start venturing into the cold pool and you do get used to it once you are in there. Pool bar was good, but does get busy. Plenty of choice for drinks on the All Inclusive menu, and the alcoholic ones were pretty strong. Restaurant was lovely. Plenty of choice and variety throughout the holiday. Breakfast was very busy and most people tend to go around 9am onwards so expect to queue, but you don't queue for long. The front of house was very efficient and would get you a table as quick as he could. All staff were helpful and friendly, especially Zoe and Eirini. Very hard working and always smiling and friendly with everyone. We dined in one of the al a carte restaurants, the Italian La Tonda. The pizzas there were very tasty and big too. Plenty of bar areas to choose from in the evening. The lounge bar downstairs alongside reception was nice for a chilled vibe. They have a pianist some nights, and others was a violinist who was really good. The rooftop bar was our favourite. The sunset views up there were amazing and they had some good acts on every night. It gets busy there once the evening meal has finished so try and get there early so you can get a table. We used the games room a few times which was a nice break for our son, and we also took part in the escape room, which was fun. If you want to venture out of the hotel, there is a beach opposite which has loungers specifically for guests if the hotel. They were lovely. Just be warned it's a shingle beach so will need water shoes to get into the sea. The sea cam be quite choppy so didn't get to go down a lot, but when the sea is calm, it is beautiful. Plenty of bars and restaurants outside of the hotel as well. We dined in El Greco as it was our anniversary and they have greek dancing and plate smashing. Definitely go there if you can. Sebastian's bar is a great place for drinks, food and watching sport. Lovely staff in both those places. It was a 10 min taxi ride into the old town. The most welcome paid was €15 and the taxi drivers are very helpful and speak good English. Also, book a trip if you can. We booked a boat trip to Lindos, but due to bad weather it was cancelled but we were able to book onto the bus trip instead. Definitely worth the trip. We loved this holiday and will definitely be back. Hope this helps someone if they are thinking of booking here.

This hotel was great. We opted for all inclusive. The whole hotel is spotless. The rooms, public areas, restaurants all superb. Food is great. If you want al la carte, book as soon as you arrive. It gets booked up super quick, but you will see why when you try the food!! Sunbeds round the pool get busy early, but if you cant get a bed, try the beach. Beds down there are usually ample and comfy and a lovely breeze on a hot day. Roof terrace bar is superb. Eat early and watch the sunset! Just wow!! Will definately go back.

“Fabulous hotel, good location, great food, disappointing beach”

Went for May half term. Impeccable service. Everything was spotless. Comfy beds. Fantastic food options on most nights even for the most picky eaters. The buffet food was of good quality, plenty of meat and fish options. Fresh salads. The roast lamb was delicious. Pork Gyros at the poolside restaurant were great. My only reservations are that the hotel doesn’t have adequate sun beds at full capacity. It turns into a bit of a war to secure a sun bed before breakfast . It’s also a bit disappointing that the beach doesn’t have any bar facilities it makes it a far less enticing place, It could do with a bit of investment.

We enjoyed our week’s half board stay at the Olympic Palace. The whole place is exceptionally clean, modern, comfortable and spacious, with immaculately manicured gardens. The rooms are clean, comfortable and well equipped with ample storage space. We enjoyed the benefit of a sea view and large balcony (for an extra charge of course). Extra charges are also payable if you need a late checkout. The reception staff were especially friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good, with a wide variety of healthy and less healthy options. At some breakfast and evening times, we encountered a relative long queue to get into the Elea restaurant, and since the hotel was only around 70% capacity, we suspect that the waiting times may increase during the high season. The quality of the buffet style evening dinner at Elea main restaurant was inconsistent with some dishes eg salmon, chicken sometimes being rather dry, perhaps left under the heat lamps too long. The lunchtime meals at Aquamarine poolside restaurant were far better and we would often forgo our evening meal in favour of the lunchtime fayre, and then eat out at the many local restaurants nearby. We arrived at the hotel late in the evening after a long flight, and a welcoming drink for late arrivals would have been most refreshing. The lifts were slow, and sometimes we had an unacceptably long wait for a lift to arrive. One of the four was out of order for the whole of our week's stay. As half board guests, we appreciate that, due to our late arrival, we did not have the opportunity to have evening meal on that first day, we were offered lunch on our last day instead. One day, we externally booked an early morning excursion to a different part of the island, and the hotel provided a 'breakfast box' in lieu of breakfast in the restaurant. It was appalling. It comprised one white bread sandwich of thinly sliced ham and cheese, two small muffins and a few biscuits. Who eats sandwiches for breakfast? A piece of fruit, a croissant and jam, some muesli perhaps, and an orange juice, in our opinion, would have been more appropriate and acceptable. When we complained, we were informed that for health and safety reasons, the chef was unable to provide anything else, and that if we were 'all inclusive' then a drink would have been provided. As a gesture of goodwill, we were offered a free lunch at the Oregano restaurant instead, which we declined. There are three pools (two of which are heated, one with a pool bar) and a small section for babies There were sufficient sun loungers and fixed umbrellas, though again it may become crowded when the hotel reaches its guest capacity. The hotel beach is accessible directly opposite the main entrance, across a busy single carriageway road. The beach is well stocked with very comfortable sun loungers and fixed umbrellas, though you would have to walk on pebbles and stones to get into the water. The hotel do not offer refreshments on the beach but there is a good beach bar and restaurant very close by. There is a fairly regular bus service to the port and the Old Town directly outside the hotel, but these can be full, and sometimes do not stop. Instead, a local taxi will take around 7mins and cost €10-15. If you want to retire the bed early, or enjoy a morning lie-in then avoid rooms 701-708 and 730-732. These rooms are directly below the Aquasia Roof Top Bar where the loud live evening entertainment can continue to 1130pm some nights. Similarly, the movement of tables and chairs as they scrape the tiled floors in the bar (either by guests in the evening or by the cleaners early morning) can be disturbing. In summary, we enjoyed our short stay at the Olympic Palace but there are a few things that could be rectified to make it truly 5star.
