Had an amazing holiday here in Virginia family resort. The hotel was stunning, the staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend!

We are currently halfway through our stay and have visited this hotel before, four years ago. Our arrival was a little disappointing as the air conditioning in our room was not working. However, to the hotel's credit, the issue was resolved within around six hours. The hotel itself is fantastic. The rooms are spotless, the swimming pools are very well maintained, and the overall cleanliness throughout the resort is excellent. The rooms are also very spacious, making it a comfortable place to stay. Unfortunately, the food is letting the hotel down. We don't remember the selection being quite as limited as it is now. We also visited the Greek à la carte restaurant and found it very disappointing compared to our experience four years ago. The children's entertainment is quite limited, and for a family-focused resort, this is an area that could definitely be improved. Overall, it is a good hotel with clean facilities, spacious rooms, and a pleasant atmosphere. If your budget allows, I would highly recommend upgrading to one of the swim-up rooms. They are excellent, especially for families with young children. There are also two nice restaurants just down the road, so if you are not impressed with the all-inclusive dinner options, it is worth venturing out for an evening meal.

Last minute break away to relax and explore. The hotel pictures looked lovely, reviews seemed good - reality the magic of photography angles and the not so good reviews were more accurate than the 4 and 5 star trip advisor reviews. The hotel is rated a 4 star, however I have stayed at far superior 3 and 4 star hotels. On arrival in the dark of night you don't see the run down area this is located. Reception staff very nice on arrival, late night food offered was disgusting. Our room in the main building was so small, hot (AC not working) and the noise was constant all night from people going back and forth, people outside our ground floor room making videos at 2am, followed by some rowdy guests arguing and swearing. We requested a room change, thankfully they moved our room to a slightly bigger room and at the front of the building. However the noise continued, in the morning and evening the noise was constant, the hallways seem to amplify and echo every sound, so there was very little sleep. Not good for wanting some relaxation. The rooms, hall ways could do with improvements to reduce the sound. The bathrooms were a disaster the water leaked all over the bathroom floor, they provide a small bathmat to absorb the water, however it did not help much, showering was a challenge to try to lessen the amount of water on the floor. Some slipping and sliding with or without flip flops on. The main pool area had enough sunloungers, although I could see a problem developing in peak season. There was some reserving by people, same not encouraged with signage. On one morning they did lift towels off the loungers. I had sat out on the morning they removed towels. I forgot my headphones and went back to the room to get them taking my bag with me I was gone 15 minutes, came back my towels removed placed on a planter. They must've removed them just as I had left. Thankfully there was loungers still available. The pool area was clean. The food selection had limited choices, was repetitive and barely lukewarm, and that included the food from the grill section. Previous reviews mention the temperature of food, I decided to stick to the made fresh, however it didn't always work out that way. The wait staff was friendly in the restaurant areas. The bar staff - it was hit and miss who served you with what type of drink and service you got. No 2 drinks was made the same, I handed back the wrong drink to the barman, he kept handing it back to me, he wouldn't make it correct, the bar manager had to make it correct whilst he talked about me in his language, pointing at me. The queues for the bar were ridiculous at times to be served. Even when there was no queue the wait to be seved would be long. The bar staff would look at you and continue talking amongst themselves or replenishing stock. We booked more excursions than planned to escape the hotel. The entertainment did not bother us, mainly due to lack of presence and activities. Night-time entertainment was okay. The best was the 3 ladies from South Africa, they were fantastic. The hotel looked nice - would I recommend it or stay at it again? Definitely not. Did it ruin our holiday? Definitely not, we went to explore the island more than we planned and got to create more memories.
