Fantastic holiday, enjoyed everything about this holiday. The owners/ staff are so friendly and helpful even to the point when our son fell ill they went out of their way to get him sorted with the family doctor. The food was fantastic especially the barbecue night, the potatoes especially was great ( still waiting for the recipe 😀) always plenty of sunbeds around the lovely pool area. So good we have booked again for 9 nights next year.

“Filoxenia apartments are a great place to stay.”

This was the first time I stayed here. Loved every minute. The rooms are basic but cleaned on a regular basis. The staff are fantastic and the setting is beautiful. The shops and bars aren’t too far to walk and public transport is reasonably regular. Food here was very good and the pool area is fan… more

“Fantastic stay, I would go back!”

I had a fantastic stay at Filoxenia, the apartments are gorgeous and very spacious and the pool area is beautiful. The self catering provision has everything you might need for cooking (I brought my own washing up liquid, sponge and tea towel thanks to other reviews!) and the shower was fantastic. … more

I had a fantastic stay at Filoxenia, the apartments are gorgeous and very spacious and the pool area is beautiful. The self catering provision has everything you might need for cooking (I brought my own washing up liquid, sponge and tea towel thanks to other reviews!) and the shower was fantastic. I was a solo female traveller and felt 100% safe at all times, there were actually a lot of solo travellers there when I was which was lovely! The bus stop is directly outside the hotel and only took 35 minutes into Rhodes old town for 3 euros, definitely worth the trip. While the hotel is under the flight path, the soundproofing is actually really good and the planes didn't bother me at all - I did still need earplugs as a light sleeper due to the fridge in the room so would recommend bringing them! I'd fully recommend this hotel and would definitely go back, thank you for a wonderful week!

“Fabulous Greek Gem of a Hotel”

I'm sat writing this review beside the pool, we fly home late tonight. We have had a fabulous stay. The hospitality at the hotel is wonderful, the entire team are friendly, always smiling & nothing is ever too much trouble. The grounds are beautiful, a herb garden, many citrus, avocado, pomegranate and banana trees surround the pool area, with beautiful overhanging bougainvillea. We are here in the last few days of the season, it is so peaceful, with Greek background music. The ladies are busy drying & preparing the herbs, so the smell of oregano & thyme is wafting by the pool, just so lovely. The Filoxenia feels so authentically Greek, totally relaxed and its the perfect place to enjoy the late summer sunshine. Our 2nd floor studio (65) has a huge balcony overlooking the pool & sea. We haven't needed air con, and haven't used the cooking facilities. It's typically Greek and has been comfortable to stay in. The hotel taverna is fabulous, we have had some delicious meals, including the Barbeque evening which was lovely. The hotel sell their own olive oil, liquors, herbs and honey, there is also a museum of rural history here too. The local village of Theologos is about 1/2 hr walk away. It's very pretty with winding narrow streets, a church & a very traditional taverna called Drosia. We ate there one evening huge portions (ask for a doggy bag) and it was a superb meal. The bus stop is directly outside the hotel so it's very easy to visit Rhodes town too. There are a scattering of tourist shops & a few taverna's along the main road and side roads too. I'm sure we will return to the Filoxenia, it has been a lovely relaxing week, in a previous life I was a travel agent for 20+ years, I'd certainly recommend.
