My family and I loved staying at Paradise Beach Hotel. We fell inlove with Roatan. We will be going back and The Paradise Beach Hotel agent I booked with, Yacansi Woods was awesome, she did an amazing job with helping me with my booking and with my needs.

PARADISE BEACH HOTEL & RESORT, WEST BAY, ROATAN, HONDURAS. MARCH 22-29, 2026 We booked an all-inclusive vacation, which was a first for us. Upon arrival at the airport, we were greeted by a most pleasant young lady who informed us we had to wait for one more flight to arrive then we would be leaving. Within 20 -30 minutes the other flight arrived and the people we were waiting for were ready to go. NO complaints. The resort itself is obviously an older establishment but the room and all common areas were immaculate! Especially when we’re talking about sandy grounds. The beach area was rather tight with seats just a few steps from the water but that was okay too. The presence of security and police made for a very safe and pleasant vacation. On more than one occasion we had issues finding two lounge chairs together near the beach. One word to the security person or one of the other employees and miraculously two lounges with pads appeared and room was made to accommodate us. The staff was excellent without appearing to expect tips! Where we were eating lunch was a little confusing some days. One day lunch would be at the buffet and other days it was at the beach bar and we didn’t know which until we went to the buffet and it was closed. Not a biggie but worth mentioning. The biggest issue we had was at the beach bar when trying to order drinks or get waited on. Sometimes we wait 20 minutes or more to get a menu then wait to order. The staff are flying around but it seemed a little disorganized. Unless you were at a table with a large group, then they were very attentive. We would go again but for an issue with the dive shop. PARADISE BEACH DIVERS ( CAYUCO REEF DIVERS) I booked this vacation for my wife and I to enjoy the peace and quiet and so I could get my open water diving certification. It didn’t happen. 6 weeks before we left for our trip, I developed an issue with my legs which restricted my movements some. Upon booking the diving portion of the trip I was informed that my certification would consist of two pool dives and four boat dives. This should not have been a problem for me but after checking in at the dive shop, I was informed that the pool portions of the dive were going to be done in the surf and that all my dives would be shore dives. I am six feet tall and when I met the instructor, Sowege, pronounced Soway, she was barely over 5 foot tall. She did her best but standing, even in a mild surf, my fins kept getting buried making it difficult to move with her. Plus, we were standing in water that was great for her height but for me to submerge it was too shallow. I would have had to sit on the bottom. They then said we could do it in the pool, okay. The depth markings on the pool didn’t show an area that was over 4 ft. How is that supposed to work. The day we arrived and checked in at the dive shop they had a sign no refunds. If I was informed of that policy ahead of time, I can’t say but there it was. So, When I determined that I was not going to be able to complete my certification, I asked if they could issue me a credit so that we could return later in the year to complete my certification. The young lady at the desk said she would have to ask their headquarters (Cayuco Reef Divers) which was on the mainland so I said OKAY and checked with her daily. The day we left for home, I checked in at the dive shop one more time and was informed that, being Sunday, she hadn’t received a decision and promised to email me when she had one. We returned home on March 29th and as of today, May 24, 2026, I still have received no communication from them. On a positive note, I must admit that all of the experienced divers that were using the dive shop appeared to be happy with their dives and the boat crew and DM’s. I guess if we decide to return to Paradise Beach Hotel & Resort, I’ll just have to deal with a different dive shop. And as a point of information, I am also posting this on the PADI site.

I enjoyed my stay at Paradice, the staff was really good, Marvin our waiter was fabulous, and Javier at the front desk was always helpful with luggage and helped arrange transportation back to the airport. We dove 4 days with the Paradice dive center, Lisa (instructor) was fabulous and so nice, Roger (instructor) was also great, The boat captain Umberto did a really great job. The Mares rental gear was all in good condition. I highly recommend the included breakfast and staff was happy to see us each morning. My only negative is that there are a lot of kids in the pool and makes it not a very “chill” environment while having a post dive Margarita. Kids jumping and yelling, so as long as your are prepared for that it’s fine. Great value stay! 9 out of 10 across the board.
