We just came to the conclusion of our second visit to Roatan and this property. Excellent value for you money here. Family run business that is warm and welcoming. Property includes a nice breakfast, lunch if you want but no dinner. We ate at some amazing restaurants throughout the combined four weeks that we stayed on the island. Restaurants from the Kimpton's Grand Roatan to the The Beach House and everyone type in between. The Seagrape's Dive Center staff and facility is perfect. Last visit we received our open water certification and this visit we dove again with them. Great experience. They have a loverly pool to hang out at if you're not at the beach or on the ocean. We will be coming back here to dive with them again.

Here’s a more polished and professional version of your review while keeping your original points and tone intact: ⸻ Dive Shop Experience: The dive operation was excellent. Divemasters Kevin and Denzel were both outstanding. I primarily dove with Kevin, who consistently demonstrated a high level of experience and an exceptional ability to spot even the smallest marine life. While I prefer to set up and rinse my own gear, the staff—including Kevin, Denzel, and the rest of the dive crew—were always attentive and ready to provide full-service assistance. One of the highlights of my trip was a night dive with Denzel, which was among the best I’ve experienced. He pointed out multiple octopuses and slipper lobsters throughout the dive, making it truly memorable. The pricing was fair, and I was particularly impressed with the cleanliness and accuracy of the nitrox tanks. Overall, the dive shop staff were professional, friendly, and highly accommodating. Hotel & Amenities: The hotel is very well maintained, with housekeeping doing an excellent job keeping rooms clean and comfortable. I only had breakfast on-site, but it was consistently good, with a homemade feel. The fresh juices and fruit were especially noteworthy. The location is convenient—close to West End, yet far enough away to avoid nighttime noise. I traveled with a friend, but I would likely not choose this property if traveling with my 7-year-old son, as there is no beach access and the pool is not shallow enough for him (approximately 4 feet at its most shallow). In terms of amenities, there are a few limitations to note. The televisions are small and only offer Spanish-language channels. Guests are provided with two 12 oz bottles of water, after which you’ll need to use a shared outdoor refill station. I would recommend bringing a reusable water bottle. Additionally, since the restaurant closes at 2 PM and the property is not all-inclusive, having access to a communal microwave would be a helpful improvement. There are a few ocean-view bungalows available, though they were not available during my stay, so I stayed in the main hotel building. Overall Impression: This is a solid choice, particularly for groups focused on diving. The facility is very clean, and the staff are genuinely kind and accommodating. That said, if you are not traveling with a large group or are looking for more amenities or direct beach access, you may want to consider smaller properties that better match those preferences

My husband and I had the pleasure of spending two wonderful weeks at Seagrape Plantation in December 2025. From the moment we arrived, we experienced great service from the entire staff. Each morning, Judith greeted us warmly at breakfast. Hilma, our main cleaner, and Alex, one of the groundskeepers, always welcomed us with smiles, making us feel right at home. We would also like to give a special shoutout to Mario in maintenance, who is truly a remarkable individual. We stayed in an oceanfront bungalow that offered stunning views of both the ocean and the pool. The air conditioning kept our room comfortable throughout our stay, and had a spacious bathroom. The bungalow was equipped with a small fridge and freezer, while a microwave was available at the front office until 6:00 PM. The office staff were thoughtful, providing us with a two-cup coffee maker and an umbrella, which proved quite useful. When selecting the breakfast (and lunch) package, guests will receive a predetermined meal each morning. Seagrape Plantation is a quiet and tranquil retreat. Its convenient location allowed us to easily walk to restaurants and shops – 10-15 mins. Snorkeling right from the oceanfront when it was calm was excellent, and we purchased a bright snorkeling dry bag both for boat visibility and for storing our belongings during trips to West End for snorkeling. The dive crew at the resort was phenomenal. Rachel helped organize our scuba dive certification, and John, an independent dive instructor, was exceptional. For our first dive after certification, Ricardo II served as our dive master. His patience made me feel comfortable and confident throughout the experience. Although we typically prefer staying in an Airbnb because they provide the comfort of a home and the flexibility to prepare some of our own meals, we would recommend Seagrape Plantation Resort and Dive Center.
